That's my infected lip piercing. And you can kinda see my gums that are really messed up now.
    Samia M.

I went in for snakebites. For starters. The guy used the same needle. He didn't open a new one. And it got infected later that day. When I called to ask if he can take it out for me. He immediately started to argue and say that it's supposed to swell. Which I understand it's going to. But my doctors papers literally say it's infected and it's rubbing against my gums and it's tearing them apart. He refused to listen to me. Only 1 piercer there, and he uses the same needle. Not good. Don't ever go here for multiple piercings. The same needle will be used.

Didn't have a chance to catch his name but the gentleman was very informative and nice! Originally wanted an industrial but switched it for a mid helix since my ears were shaped differently. Needle went through smoothly and had lots of jewelry options. Highly recommend over other places I have been and I'm from Niagara Falls!

    One week old. Healing nicely!

I just received my second tattoo from Pink Armadillo. About 2 years ago I went in to have a 21-year old (small) ankle tattoo recolored after it had faded over time. The tattoo was of a small purple fish. Totally basic. The artist took liberties (which I was fine with) and gave it a little more life, a little blue color for water and some air bubbles. At the same time, I had 3 small stars tattooed on the top of my foot. Great experience, a little pricey based on comparable services other friends received at similar shops, but I was happy. They healed well, and they did a great job. Last week I went back and had a new tattoo done inside my wrist, of my mom's signature. Nicole was my tattoo artist. I brought a copy of the signature. She scanned it, applied it to my wrist and we agreed on the best positioning, and I was done in probably 15 minutes. She was very nice, did a nice job, and it has healed well after only a week. I haven't been in many tattoo shops at all, and most people are shocked to find out I have one tattoo, let alone three tattoos. The shop was clean, the staff was friendly, and I was happy.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I went to Pink Armadillo for a Tragus piercing on June 21st. Several days later it got very swollen, I had been cleaning it 3x a day (like they told me, with the materials they recommend) and started to ice it in hopes that the swelling would go down. It got to the point where my mother had to remove the piecing while I was screaming and crying (luckily she worked in surgery and had the skill to remove it, the stud was almost engulfed by my swollen ear) When we called the owner about it, he ignored us until August 1st (today). I wasn't initially going to write this review but I feel that I have to warn everyone. He was VERY rude and claims that "once customers leave the shop, Pink Armadillo is NOT responsible for what happens afterward". Therefore, not only did his daughter (my piercer) provide AWFUL service but he doesn't feel the need to write the wrong he caused me. I had talked to a different piercer that works there who said that none of the piercers were properly trained and the use the wrong materials... and the reason my ear had swelled so bad was because they used a material with nickel in it and I am allergic to nickel. They had failed to warn me, even though I told them I had very sensitive ears and was allergic to nickel. Long story short, NEVER get pierced here, bad service and even worse manners. (Pictures of my swollen ear after the piercing was removed)

If I could give more stars I would!!! Our experiences with Andie over the years have been nothing…read moreshort of incredible. Back in 2024, when my middle daughter was about to turn 8, we went to Andie for her first ear piercing. As my daughter's nerves grew, Andie's patience somehow doubled. She coached her through one lobe, and when my daughter decided she wasn't ready for the second, Andie didn't push -- she supported her wholeheartedly and celebrated her choice to wait. Fast forward to last week: my other two daughters decided they wanted their ears pierced as well. We went back to Andie, and she guided my oldest through double piercings and gently worked with my youngest, who needed a little extra time and confidence. We returned the next day, and she did it! Then came my middle daughter -- the one who had only one lobe pierced since 2024. Seeing her sisters succeed gave her the courage to try again. After an hour and a half of pep talks during one visit, and then another 2 1/2 hours during our most recent appointment, she finally became a two‑earring girl! Andie was right there with us the entire journey -- patient, encouraging, emotionally invested, and truly cheering her on. She was nearly in tears with pride, just like I was. You can see that this isn't just a job for Andie. She pours her heart and soul into every single person she works with. She cares deeply, she loves what she does, and she strives for absolute excellence in every interaction. I would recommend Andie to ANYONE. You will not be disappointed -- she is one of a kind!

Wouldn't recommend. Unprofessional, untrustworthy, and operates with no integrity. There are plenty…read moreof piercers around here that actually take themselves seriously and care about their customers.

Obviously I like the joint or I wouldn't have come back so many times. But I want to tell you why I like this place. First, Shawn and I hit it off immediately! If you're going to allow a guy with a needle to permanently imprint your skin, you want to like him and trust him. And you want to enjoy the awful process! Shawn and I "met" on Facebook. We had something like 60 mutual friends, so I asked him how come I didn't know him. We started talking and I knew immediately he was a kindred spirit. He's very funny, quick-witted, and a great storyteller. It's nice when we've got an hour or longer session and I can focus on his story and not the awful (albeit beautiful) work he's doing on my arm. Second, Shawn does consistently brilliant work! And don't fret if you see his stuff and you don't see "your style." Just because you don't see it doesn't mean he doesn't do it. The well that is Shawn's talent runs very deep, I assure you! I still can't believe he's in little Medina, NY. That's brings me to the third reason I go see Shawn. I'm supporting the community in which I grew up. That doesn't mean you should drive to Medina if you live in Buffalo, but it's an added bonus for me. I grew up there, and so did Shawn. In fact, that's why his prices are what they are. He's in Medina, not Buffalo. Could he charge Buffalo prices? Yes, he is worth it (he's worth a lot more, honestly), but Medina probably couldn't support it. So why not enjoy the benefits of getting a great tattoo in a small town and drive to Orleans County? If incredible tattoos at a ridiculously affordable price isn't enough, there's another reason I go see Shawn. Reason number four, it's clean. The shop has a great vibe, everything is super-clean, and I don't ever feel like I'm on display. I'm always comfortable (as comfortable as is possible when you've got someone jabbing your skin with a needle a gazillion times a second, causing you to bleed and whatnot). He's got a TV if you want to watch that, or like I said before, Shawn is great at distracting you with his easy conversation. I'm currently working on a literary sleeve, so I've got pieces related to books or comics I've read and loved. While I was visiting San Francisco recently, I was stopped no fewer than three times a day by people wanting to know who did my tattoo. Specifically most wanted to know about my Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close tattoo. Over the period of ten days, I told at least 30 strangers the story of my tattoo, and where I got it. Most also wanted to know the cost. When I told them, they were shocked. One girl told me a piece like this would cost me $750-$1000 to have done there - with the details and the quality and the great color, they were all amazed to hear it cost me less than half the low-end figure. So when I say Shawn does "big city tattoos" at a "small town price," that's not some clever catch phrase. It's tested and true.
