The instructors at Main Street Martial Arts are incredible role models who have helped my son channel his abundant energy in positive ways. He has become stronger, more focused, and significantly more respectful. The improvement in his behavior and self-discipline has carried over into all areas of his life. We utilize multiple programs offered by the studio: Regular classes After-school program (they even provide van transportation twice a week!) Summer camps Holiday camps My son genuinely loves going there and has excelled in martial arts competitions. The instructors provide an excellent balance of structured routine and challenging workouts, while also incorporating fun community activities that keep the programs engaging and interesting. The owner Lance and all the instructors deserve tremendous credit for creating such a positive, nurturing environment. They've given our son an amazing outlet for his energy while teaching him valuable life skills. We are incredibly grateful for everything Main Street Martial Arts has done for our family. If you're looking for a martial arts program that truly cares about developing the whole child, I cannot recommend Main Street Martial Arts highly enough.

After years of competitive boys gymnastics we decided it was time to try something new. Taekwondo has been a wonderful transition, still offering a constructive mind-body challenge, and a better fit overall for our family. The studio is spacious, family-friendly, has a positive community atmosphere and very dedicated staff. It's a been such a safe & healthy social outlet (especially during the pandemic) where fitness, growth and respect are paramount.

The first class was free. I heard it was about $60 a month for unlimited classes. The inside is kind of grubby. I kept thinking about how they should repaint their ceiling, redecorate, and give everything a once over with Simple Green while I was doing sit-ups. The class was pretty full and had a wide range of ages and fitness levels in attendance so it wasn't as intimidating as I thought kickboxing would be. The people and instructors were nice. Really loud club music plays in the background on a sub-par sound system during the "toning" portion of the class that includes stretches and lunges and sit-ups and whatnot. The instructor was sort of drowned out by the music so I had trouble hearing what she said. No one seemed to be in sync either so I got the feeling that form wasn't a real priority. Or maybe everyone else had trouble hearing the instructor, too? The kickboxing portion of the class involves finding a partner and switching off kicking and punching pads, but I heard that they switch it up a lot so a different day might have a totally different feel.

I started here about a month ago with my good friend. I absolutley LOVE this class (women's…read morekickboxing.) The class is pretty laid back when you first start, there are varying levels, weights, and ages (above 13.) When I started the instructors do not push you too hard, form is not that important as long as you are doing your best. After about the first week however they get to know you and push you where you need it. Every class is different, and always fun. I would reccomend the morning classes as they are a lot less busy, and it jump-starts your whole day. I love this class and would suggest it to anyone.
