After that came the big project, Eric and his courteous & professional team installed a patio on my back yard. This was not just any patio, its a 700 square foot monster with a large retaining wall, curves, removal of part of my deck and about 6 pallets worth of pavers! On top of the planned material, my yard and the recent weather (thunderstorms) threw all sorts of challenges into the process but Eric and his team took every challenge and turned it into an asset which his planning and detail showed in the final product. We have used this company several times. First for lawn mowing, then landscaping and then a…read moreretaining wall. We have always been very pleased with the work and the costs for the job done. This past weekend someone ran over our retaining wall pulling some of the blocks apart. I was so upset that I left a message on the voice mail on Sunday. We have not had them do any work for us since they put in the retaining wall several years ago since that was the last big project. Well Monday morning I got a call from Jim. He asked me what happened. I told him. He was working on a job but said he would come by sometime that morning or afternoon to take a look at the damage. He did and then called me in the afternoon. He pulled the rocks away and put the blocks back. He said he didn't have any glue with him but he would come back and do the another day. He knew how upset I was so he wanted to get it back to the way it was. When I asked him how much I owed him, he said nothing. He said he couldn't charge me for it. I got news for you, most people don't do work for nothing but Jim did. He fixed my wall and now it looks as beautiful as it ever did. Time is precious to all of us so when someone does something for me and doesn't charge me I want to tell the world. It is a shame that more people don't take time to say thank you. Harry the owner was extremely friendly, humble, and motivated, and was ready to get started the next day. All the other companies we had gotten estimates from were unbelievably overpriced, and not willing to start right away. I was concerned about damage to my lawn from the bobcat carrying the heavy wood to replace the wall. Not only was there no damage at all, but they cleaned up and took away all the rotted wood. They were done and gone in one day. The wall is now stable with new wood, and sure to last. He wasn't pushy or arrogant, and took the time to explain things without rushing. Santiago landscaping will get any future patio, wall, stone, or paver work I might have.
