Took an elevator to the second floor since the stairs looked exhausting. The front staff was very friendly and provided me the all too familiar registration packet to fill out. The waiting room was small but only a few people waiting. I was called into an examination room within ten minutes. Dr Pollak is a joy to speak with and is super knowledgeable in her profession.

When I contacted the office for follow-up, she did not speak with me directly and instead told me to go to an urgent care clinic. This is very disappointing and, in my opinion, reflects a lack of concern for patient care. What I find especially concerning is that this practice specializes in urogynecology, yet when the prescribed treatment failed, there was no effort to evaluate my condition further or discuss alternative options. My other healthcare providers routinely follow up after prescribing medication to ensure that the treatment is working and to address any ongoing issues. Additionally, the office changed my specialist without notifying me in advance, which was both confusing and frustrating. As a patient, I expect communication, follow-up, and continuity of care. Unfortunately, my experience here did not meet those expectations.

When I asked to speak to someone other than the lowly "answering service," I was told that there is NO way to speak to any of the clinical staff at her practice without first getting "vetted" by the incompetent "answering service!" That should have been enough to deter me from setting up an appointment, but I'm interesting in seeing just how bad things are, and perhaps file a formal complaint with my Medicare Health plan, and/or AHCA. I have been struggling to find a doctor that would help me with my severe & debilitating period & ovulation pain. After hearing what my symptoms were we decided that he would perform laparoscopic surgery on me. Finally after 2.5 years of pain and not knowing what was going on in my body he gave me a diagnosis of endometriosis. I am still going through treatment with him but I can confidently say that I trust him and his recommendations with absolutely no doubts. And Made me wait like two weeks for surgery even though I only have 1 kidney and it's jammed by big stone ..I asked him isn't time of the essence because of the solitary kidney ? He said "you'll be fine". Day of surgery after waiting and waiting someone from Aventura Hospital cancelled surgery after already being on the surgical table and had been drugged twice. I got up off the surgical table in the OR and drove myself to memorial hospital in renal failure. I will never understand how he can practice medicine like that. I acquired an acute kidney injury which has left me with compromised renal function and I had to have specialized surgery to remove damaged part of ureter because of damage the stone made on the ureter. I was forced to have my ureter resected and reconstructed because of the trauma from the stone and the length of time it was allowed to stay stuck . I would not recomendad Aventura hospital since the OR cancelled surgery abruptly because the ceiling was collapsing while I was on the surgical table. Just So you understand, the hospital called me the day before the surgery to cancel it because they lost the lazer to be used for surgery. Only to be called back 30 min later saying they had found the lazer and the surgery was back on. I know it sounds crazy but this happened to me a year ago and I never wrote a bad review nor sued the Dr. nor the Hospital but now I receive a bill in collections from Dr Levin for like $88. So you get the scathing review above. Dr. Levin, Sir, You suck! And so does Aventura hospital.
