I have always had a short bob with color and hi-lights. Something went terribly wrong at the last salon I went to! Way too much bleach was put in my hair! It caused my hair to break off and the ends were burnt! I was in tears and afraid to leave the house! Since I was very social, this was a nightmare from Hell! Anything you want she has! Her name is Beth and she is one creative, very patient, and lovely woman. The world is such a much better place with creative people like her in it. She has Santa clothes, Grinch costumes, Elf costumes, Bunny and action figure costumes. If you can think it this store has it! My first visit was with Pharmis - greeted me warmly, then hit right down to the business of beautifying... One hour later: conditioned, trimmed, and an awesome blow out that STILL looks good 2 days later! Another perk: she stays later than most stylists - allowing those of us with day jobs, or in need of more than a few hours to do errands on Sundays - to still get in an appointment for the weekend. My second visit was with the owner, and she was equally awesome - had some great suggestions, took my own input about my blowout, and we scheduled for an upcoming appointment to help write in my highlights. There aren't very many stylists that know how to do Black hair where I live. I did a Yelp search and found Roberta. And what a blessing that was! We spoke at length on the phone about what I wanted. She explained her pricing clearly right up front. I knew exactly what to expect. Some stylists don't do that and you can get sticker shock when its time to pay. And she's mobile!!!! Last minute business trip and the day before Thanksgiving, I have a million things to do. Roberta came to my house, with all the necessary tools and I was able to get several things done at once. Let's talk about the cut. OMG! I wear a short cut. Roberta explained she was doing a scissor cut instead of a razor because of the curl pattern in my hair. She cut it in stages so I could get the exact length I wanted. I have had others just take a razor and shave it too low and tell me it will grow out. The entire process was like a visit with an old friend. I had one of the best cuts and color experiences in forever! And it didn't cost one bit more than I would have paid in a salon! Just to keep it 100%, I am super picky about my hair and tender- headed, and she's getting a review like this!
