We needed two expert technicians at our home today because first the disposal and hit H2O dispenser stopped working. Then, we started hearing water dripping from the living room heat pump. At first one technician was promised for the sink problems and a second one in two more days for the heat pump. The second technician came first after he realized he had time to come today then the first technician showed up and fixed the sink problems ALL IN ONE DAY and on the day I called them. The technicians are always pleasant to deal with and respectful of our home. I have been with Pine State since they gave us the best quotes on heat pumps five years ago and I tell everyone I know to call them for all your HVAC, plumbing and electrical needs. They are simply the best! read more

Tucker was great! Explained the procedures and what he was going to do on that day and I feel he was very thorough. Courteous and clean, he put covers over his shoes and was very respectful! read more

I attended a fall gathering and pine state pours was there, amazing mobile bar ,staff was so knowledgeable and friendly

Monthly subscription is a predatory scam. There is no confirmation email or follow up information on purpose so people forget. Then there is no option to cancel online. I will notify the Attorney General's office as this likely violates new laws on monthly subscriptions. read more

I pay a monthly subscription service to make sure people can come out when I need it. They sent an electrician to fix something that was specifically for someone with HVAC knowledge, so now I have to pay for two visits. read more

The sales rep who visited told me my boiler "hadn't been loved up enough" and then tried to get me to LEASE a boiler for 20k. I bought a new boiler from someone else for 8k. When I see a Pines Services van on the road I snarl. read more

We needed service at our rental property. PSS charged us $400 to change a shower head, after not even checking to see if it was broken. We asked them to clear a drain and they said they do not clear drains. $400 for 1/2 hour work and a $50 shower head. Refused to break down costs on the invoice. Charged my card even though I disputed the charge. Overpriced, terrible service. Do not use. read more

I've always been very satisfied with Pine State and have used them for years. Today, Chris was here and, as usual, was incredibly efficient and pleasant regarding my heating needs. read more

The value just isn't there with this company. I had them replace a ceiling light/fan fixture in my bathroom. I bought the new fixture, I was charged $99.00 to come out which I knew about, and then I paid $169. to diagnose the problem, and then labor. The bill came to over $500 for less than an hour work. The fan still makes the same noise as the old one did, do clearly it wasn't diagnosed properly. I was also given the total cost of the job after they had the old ceiling fan out. It might have been good to know the price before they started. Live and learn. I will never use them again. read more

I'm genuinely confused at all these positive reviews. We paid them to clean our furnace and came home to a house covered in soot. They didn't cover a single vent in any of the rooms before they blasted everything up. It's been a month. I've called two times and been told "the person who handles customer service isn't in today". I also emailed and have gotten zero response. And this isn't a little bit of mess in a couple places - it's 8 vents and each of them spat out a black mess. I've been cleaning walls, doors and windows for a month and there's still little grey black streaks everywhere. They don't even care enough to find 10 minutes to call me back. Update: I get they're short staffed but it's been months and no reply. So gross. read more

Not only did Pine State Services give me an astronomical price for 1/2 day of work (nearly $4,000 to install a bathtub), the guys who came to do the installation left BOTH bathrooms in my home absolutely disgusting. One guy used my downstairs bathroom (#2) and did not even have the courtesy to flush the toilet behind himself. There was also a ton of phlegm in my kids' bathroom sink that was just left there. I was just disgusted to find both messes and have to scrub them clean myself (yes, both required scrubbing). I really expect a higher level of respect for my home when hiring professionals to come in. Even my kids know better than this. The guys also didn't even bother to hook up the bathtub train (which was explicitly included in the estimate's scope of work). But my husband finished the job because I will not be inviting Pine State Services back into my home ever again. I could have overlooked being overcharged because in all fairness I did receive and agree to the estimate ahead of time. I just wanted the job done quickly and most other businesses are booked solid. Now I understand why Pine State Services' schedule was wide open. They've lost my business for good. read more

We scheduled an appointment this fall with Pine State Services to have our fireplace serviced. We explained at the time it was not working. We called late, so that was on us that we couldn't get an appointment until the end of January. I'll gladly own that. Yesterday I called to confirm today's appointment. This morning I get a call that our appointment is being canceled due to emergency calls. Ok, I understand that too. Offered to be rebooked to the end of March. After waiting several months without our fireplace, now we have to go the entire winter!?! Our fireplace is supposed to be a backup source of heat and to relieve some of the effort the furnace needs on below zero days and now we have to go the entire winter without it? We have no backup heat source and the nonchalant attitude of the person calling was the straw that broke the camels back. Totally unacceptable. read more

Lied about a price then added more to original price, very poor and unprofessional communication. They raised there price 75% over the original price after waiting a month for the appointment. I was shocked at what they explained expecting me to pay. I called the office they told the technician to honor the quote the he started adding more on again. I told him no and he left. I called the office again and they left me on hold. Your manager called to tell me to pay more now for a club membership to save money later. It's a scam just wanted what we agreed to a month ago. The membership fee is a fee for nothing. What a waste of a time. Now I know PineState services scam. read more

Be forewarned, Pine State is an investor-owned company, and acts like it. I would never use them again for a project (mine was ~$12,500). Well over $400 per hour for lead electrician and trainee; embedded in total cost estimate. Hour estimate calculated after subtracting supplies cost. Pine State uses brief descriptions in contracts to reduce services actually provided (see below). They did not do all the work discussed during the estimate. Rather, after electrician left job site, the company claimed that their brief description of work did not cover everything discussed during estimate visit. Also, Pine State office tacked on a diagnostic fee for the phone discussion of what was in the estimate. We paid for estimate visit, then they did not reimburse (as promised) the cost of the estimate when Pine State electrician did the work. They scheduled the work the same week that the electrician had a baby due. Then, replacement electrician refused to do work that was discussed during estimate visit, and only did what their office told them to do. read more

Well, they responded as "quickly" as they possibly could. Times are tough right now with the demand and inability to find workers. I had a leaky pipe, and it took a month to get an appointment (understood). The worker, Jason, showed up and came, saw, conquered. Got it done in under an hour, and cleaned everything up wonderfully. Absolute five star service! This was a strange leak, and difficult to find. Two other plumbers had no clue (after charging me $67 each for the diagnostic, which was ass. One of them ruined my toilet flow). The previous "owners" lied to me about the pipes all being new Pex (King Real Estate). The one hot water pipe was, in fact, 20+ year old copper. Jason isolated it and fixed it in an hour, and for that I am so grateful. read more

I was quoted an hourly rate, trip charge plus materials on the phone. We had a slight drip in our pipe in the bathroom ceiling. My husband had already removed the drywall. They used our old pipe and added a rubber grommet to fix the leak, the bill was over $500, not knowing what they quoted me my husband payed it. Upon arriving home he told me what they charged him, I immediately contacted the company. I spoke to a gentlemen (which was condescending and rude) on the phone thinking there was a mistake. He said there's a "flat" rate to fix a pipe no matter if it's 2 inches or 10 feet, so why wasn't I told this on the phone?? I explained to him what the lady from his company had told me about the hourly rate plus materials. He said there was no way anyone from the company would say that???? The repair man was at our home for less than an hour as well. Classical bate and switch preying on senior citizens!!! Watch out for this company!!! read more

We had an awful experience with Pine State Services. We needed plumbing work done, moving a sink 7ft. The quote was high, but we needed it done immediately and they could do it the fastest. The hourly rate ended up being almost $400. Absurd! Then we had an inspection and there were two issues. The work was not up to code and they never pulled a permit. The supervisor blamed us for not asking for a permit and not telling them we wanted the work to code. Then he told us that to remedy the two issues, we would need to pay more for another visit. Never ever using this company again. read more

Pine State Services is a Service Experts company. I use Pine State for my HVAC, plumbing and heat pumps (installation and service). Their techs are the best and their service is five star! Owen was here yesterday to resolve an irrigation problem related to my plumbing. He identified the issue quickly and resolved with an hour. He did it with a great attitude, explained what he was doing and was truly interested in resolving the issue for me. All their techs have the same attitude and are all very friendly and polite. Highly recommend Pine State Services!!! read more

Customer service was great at first call, setting an appointment for just a few days later, with a small window of time to expect arrival. When the tech was within an hour of arrival, we were called with an update, and Tristan arrived shortly. Clean, friendly, conscientious, and willing to show me WHY our AC DUCT had leaked, and how to prevent it in the future! The charge was about 25% of what another company had charged with a much less thorough treatment, and no instruction on prevention! read more

We have had the pleasure of having Pine State Services for many projects. Knowing the quality of their work, our expectations are high.....but they continue to be exceeded. Todd and John are amazing. They are well oiled machines, but machines that provide explanations, answers and suggestions. They left the job area cleaner than they found it and were respectful of our home. Great company and great workers! read more

I received a follow-up call the next day. Pine State was able to make some scheduling adjustments and advised that someone would be able to perform the installation the following day. Although I could not be there for the re-scheduled installation, apparently the work was completed as planned. It was unfortunate that the situation had to escalate the way it did when I found out at 4pm the day prior to the scheduled installation that they were not going to perform the work, however, Pine State deserves credit for making an effort to get the project back on track as quickly as they did. read more

WOW! Just had the BEST experience with AC repair folks in Ogunquit. They arrived about hour after I called while others were quoting three weeks or $700 to come sooner to take a look. We needed to have additional outlets installed both interior and exterior. Having used and been very pleased with Pine State for several other jobs/service call outs, it made sense to use them again. Peter Baker does a thorough and professional job every time. I would highly recommend this company and Peter for any electrical work you need done. It can be extremely frustrating trying to track down reliable plumbers/electricians but Pine State have come through every time. Thanks for your professional service. read more

Very impressed with the prompt service, customer-friendly coordination, and fixing the problem.

We had Pine Tree quote plumbing, electrical and furnace work that showed up on home inspection for a house we wanted to purchase to understand the costs prior to closing. They have specialized teams for each area and sent out 3 guys. They are professional and provided thorough quotes that did not change from actual work being done, actually 2 of the items the work came in under what was quoted, which shows their honesty. I would highly recommend Pine Tree! read more

We were thrilled with our Pine State Services experience start to finish. We've used them several times, this time for installing a HVAC ductless heat pump system. Dana Seabury was the best salesperson we've ever had in our home. We felt no pressure, she was personable, approachable, listened to our concerns, and was extremely flexible and helpful in guiding us toward the design we wanted. The installation was flawless, and we are thrilled with our new heat pump units. read more

The biggest scam ever! I would never again used any service from here!! Overcharged us and was not in the house longer than 20 mins but wanna charge us almost 300 for a problem that was back at it again next day. We were told to purchase a new piece for the toilet and we did clearly that piece was not the problem. Now what can we do but call another plumber pay more money‍already out of luck as it is from COVID and now this read more

TERRIBLE company! We had just moved to Maine, so we weren't aware of the discounts provided for heat pump water heaters. They just randomly decided to install an electric one for $2,300 (which is outrageous). Then they charged $450 for a boiler maintenance they didn't do correctly. Quoted $8k for ONE heat pump, and $45k for a new system. No one has called me back about the sub par service and bad product placement in NINE months! Just avoid these people, they're scam artists. read more

We made an appointment with Pine State for an estimate to replace our home boiler. They couldn't come by for 2 months said they were very busy. We said ok since our replacement was not an emergency, On day of appointment they never showed...we waited 4 hours (10-2)...at least a phone call would have been nice...the company just blew us off...not good. There are plenty of options out there for this work...but for us Pine State is not one of them. read more

We have a beach house in Camp Ellis, recently we signed up Pine State for an annual maintenance service contract. Within a week of our annual maintenance we had an issue with the AC. We called PinE State, they sent a service man with a day. It was a puzzle why one of the bedroom units was working only intermittently. It was discovered that the unit was cross wired during the original installation. Great diagnosis, good guy also. Thanks! read more

$1,048 is an outrageous bill for replacing a simple kitchen faucet and a sink drain. They falsely claimed $493 to replace and install a "Customer supplied dishwasher". I have never owned a dishwasher. I did not ask Pine State to replace and install a nonexistent "Customer supplied dishwasher". read more

I had them service my AC unit for years and clean my propane boiler. This year after purchasing the service contract my hot water wasn't working. they could come in a week. then it turned out that I needed a new boiler to correct the hot water problem. Nothing but a scam. Don't waste your valuable time folks. The main focus of this sham is getting you to sign up for a membership? A membership? Never heard of such a foolish thing! I just needed a plumber to do q job and I pay you immediately! Not this place. Never again. read more

It went very well. Scott was quite knowledgable and generous in making sure I understood everything he was doing and why and, more, didn't try to drive the price up. Pine State used to be my go-to company for plumbing. I used them for years but will never use them again because: 1) they installed a generator at my home that their own technician later told me was not powerful enough for the size of my home. Consequently, I had to have them back out each time the power went out because the generator wouldn't kick in. 2) they charged me nearly $1000 to install a new toilet that I later found out wasn't even bolted down to the floor. Save your money and hire somebody else! read more

Thank you so much to Pete and Dana for the fast service in correcting my DIY project. Complete rip off. They charged us $6K for an electrical job and cannot provide us with a detailed invoice. They've told me that they are a flat rate company (it doesn't say this anywhere on their website), but as a valued customer with a membership, I'd like to see what I'm paying for. Their inability to provide even a basic breakdown of the cost makes me think they overcharged. Spend your money somewhere else! read more
