One of the biggest things I want to stress to anyone considering this complex: DO NOT expect to receive your full security deposit back. They withheld money from our deposit for multiple things they claimed needed to be cleaned or maintained. It felt like they found every little thing they could charge us for. Be prepared to lose a significant portion of your deposit, even after you have cleaned and taken care of the apartment. What made the security deposit situation even more frustrating was the "proof" they provided after we moved out. They gave us pictures in black-and-white that were extremely grainy and unclear. The pictures were so poor quality that you could barely make out what you were looking at, let alone tell that it was even our apartment. It was extremely difficult to understand or verify what they were claiming they needed to charge us for. When I asked for certain information I was told "oh we don't have to give you that information, I don't think". It's my apartment and you're refusing to provide me with my own information. Since the day we moved in, we dealt with issues with another resident who terrorized us, and the complex did very little to address the situation. Management seemed unwilling to get involved or take responsibility, leaving us feeling completely unsupported. We have to file a police report against this person to finally have them stay away from us. Maintenance was also extremely frustrating. They were rarely available when we needed them, and getting issues addressed was always a struggle. Moving out was an absolute headache and ended up costing us more money than expected. The staff was not helpful, accommodating, or respectful throughout the process. Overall, I would not recommend this complex to anyone. I wish I knew then what I know now because I would have made a completely different choice and moved somewhere else. If you're considering living here, please be aware that you may not receive your full security deposit back, and make sure you thoroughly document the condition of your apartment before moving out. Also be aware they are money hungry and don't care about you as a tenant.

Decided to increase the income threshold and reached out to them sometime this year, I was told by the same property manager that the income wasn't the issue, it was the credit score. I told her that everything has increased over the past year so I'm willing to reapply, she's gonna tell me it's not possible to reapply. I didn't know that there was a restriction in applying multiple times for an apartment. In my opinion, I felt as if they don't want to rent the apartment to me and they have people who they pick and choose to rent. This is total discrimination.

Very relaxing and a great way to meet other occupants. The properties here are landscaped beautifully, the streets are well lit and all front door lights are automatic. I feel very safe. The clubhouse is gorgeous and I use the gym frequently. The management has sponsored a few get togethers and it's been fun with great food! All the people running the place are terrific...very accommodating whenever I had a question. I like all my neighbors and am very happy here. Room sizes are plenty for me. (I have a 2 BR, 2 Bath with a garage.) Enough storage for me too. My apt is beautiful and I am very comfortable. Love having a garage! I would highly recommend living here!!!

The apartment is new, clean, gorgeous and convenient. From doggy poop stations, to a ton of walking trails they help keep one active. Theres always something that happens at Avalon and THERES NO CAMERAS. If you see a cop it's no surprise anymore. Almost every other day the cops are here for many different reasons. As a matter of fact they're here now as I'm writing this at 2am when I have to be at work 8am. TONIGHT IS MY LAST STRAW. This was too close for comfort: my husband was a witness to Car theft 10 minutes after I walked in the door by my self from working a late night. Then we have Domestic violence, drug deals in day light, needles juts sitting by the entrance to the building. If I think hard I'm sure I can name plenty more. Look I get it this can happen anywhere but I pay A LOT of money to be in a safe, family friendly environment. TONIGHT I don't feel safe and I would never want to bring up a child in this environment. What's it gonna take to install cameras? The cops asked maybe if anyone had cameras outside their apartment HE LAUGHED WHEN I TOLD HIM THERE WERE NO CAMERAS AND WERE NOT ALLOWED TO INSTALL OUR OWN. Jeanmarie, Melissa and Claire are the wonderful ladies that work in the main office. Extremely friendly people and 100% helpful. Sometimes I just walk in there to talk about my day and to see how they're doing. If You ever have a problem, they definitely try hard to solve it. I wish I can give this place 6 . Some units have moisture and mold issues, and I knew one guy a few units over that had to throw away all of his clothing and shoes because of the mold on them. The buildings and grounds were poorly maintained when I lived here. It was basically like living with my downstairs neighbor as I could literally hear every single thing they did, even though we had separate units. Just awful. The buildings were built in the 1960's s and the brick does show it's age, but that too adds character to the living arrangement. The units are oversized, and you faintly can hear your upstairs occupants, but the space is well built and noise is not an issue. The unit, I moved into, 1-1-2021, was fully renovated and well done. The Residence Manager, has lived on the property for 26 years and takes pride in his responsibilities and workmanship and it shows. This place is a wonderful little gem, and should not be overlooked. On a separate note, the upstair occupants are very friendly and respectful and I am blessed to have them above me. I look forward to meeting more neighbors as the season gets warmer and planting flowers around my patio space.
