Tui Blue Falesia - Door tag

    Tui Blue Falesia

We spent five nights at the Tui Blue Falésia hotel. We arrived late night (11:30 pm). We were…read moregreeted by Bernardo. We were offered a complimentary alcohol free welcome drink, and it was refreshing and tasty. Bernardo informed us of the complimentary water bottles (2 bottles each 1.5 liters), tea bags and kettle. He then informed us of the complimentary breakfast, pools, gym, and sauna. The room and bathroom were properly cleaned. Hand soap hung on the wall (nice touch. I didn't have to use the one I brought with me). The shower had a shampoo/body wash combo. The towels hung in the shower with a ledge to place things (also liked that because I detest the towels hanging over the toilets). In case anyone is wondering, no other toiletries aside from the body wash/shampoo combo and the hand soap. The water temperature was great. The bathroom had a bidet next to the toilet. The bed was comfortable. The pillows were horrible (flat and not comfortable). They had the decorative pillows, did not use them for sleeping. The bottom of the sheet had a small black stain which could have been from ironing. During our five night stay, the bedding was not changed. The room was very spacious. The wardrobes were spacious too and had many hangers to use. Bath robes provided. There was only one USB port located by the tv (inconvenient). Adjustable lights by bedside. The desk and chair was very comfortable. The seating chairs were comfortable as well. Free safe to use (some places charges for that type of thing). Room came with a refrigerator and shelf space to store foods. All of our suitcases were stored in the wardrobes. The cons for me was the fan that ran all day (no switch to turn off.). The room was hot because the heat was running (never thought I would find heat an issue, but it was too hot). We eventually turned off the heat and left it off. I would have liked a USB port next to the bed. Would have been nice to get more water upon request. The balcony was spacious. I paid for an ocean view room, and I could see the ocean from the balcony. Wish I could see the ocean from the bed. The room door did not slam when closing (I liked that). The whole property was clean. Breakfast was really good with something for everyone. They had a small area catered to the vegans. I felt it lacked variety and could be improved. Dinner was okay. I felt dinner definitely did not cater to vegans, not enough variety. Dinner for two cost us €53. The hotel was roughly $498 for the five nights. We did not use the sauna as I did not have my bathing suit. The hotel does have a small shop with clothes, swimwear, toiletries, and such. I didn't want to pay €36 for bathing suit (although I thought the price was justifiable, I didn't want to add on to my swimwear collection :) The souvenir shop nearby sold bathing suits for €16 to €17. Overall, we had a great stay. The beach is accessible through a pathway outside of the hotel with stairwells leading to the beach. There's many restaurants within walking distance. A supermarket is also within walking distance. A few small shops are also nearby to purchase water and other things. My tips for traveling overseas. Bring cash because ATM fees are high and there's other fees. We took €200.00 out of an ATM in Sevilla for $226.75.

Great hotel for the value! The rooms are very clean, modern, and nicely air conditioned. The…read morebalcony view of the sea and pool is beautiful. The pool is very well kept and the lifeguard wipes down the pool chairs in between uses which is very great to see in the middle of a pandemic. The location is perfectly close to everything you need. The main square is a very short walk away filled with many restaurants and bars. There is a supermarket just two blocks away filled with all the snacks and drinks you could need for your room. There are also several restaurants on the beach just minutes away with some great offers. There are mini fridges in the room which is very convenient for keeping a couple cold beers or some cheese and crackers to have on your balcony for a snack. Beds were very comfortable and there's a safe to keep all your valuables. The breakfast here is not great but for how inexpensive this hotel is, it's really jot an issues. For me it was better to walk down to the local bakery and get a fresh Portuguese pastry and coffee. There are two wonderful bakeries near by so do not hesitate to branch out! Great stay will be return again soon. Ps. Pro tip: Bring your own beach towel or by one at the little shops in the area. They will charge you an arm and leg to rent one!

This hotel is right in the middle of all of the exciting shops and restaurants on the boardwalk. I would recommend staying here, but I do have a few tips for you. There is a private pool, but it is small and there are not many chairs. You also can't book the chairs, but people will put out their towel and hog the chair all day. Be weary of this. Bring your own towels! If you don't you will have to buy elsewhere as the hotel does not provide this service. Do not buy the towels on the boardwalk, but rather walk along the main street and find a cheap vendor as they sell the same towels for less than half price outside of the busier areas. The beach access is nice as well. If you are staying for awhile, consider buying an umbrella or bringing your own. Otherwise, you will have to rent their permanent umbrellas for 12 euro if you stay at the hotel. The reclining chairs come with a nice mat that is comfortable to relax on all day. Food nearby at restaurants is great as well. Restaurants stay open way past midnight and people do not start their meal until almost 10pm. Expect dinner to last 2-3+ hours without a rush.
