I noticed that my child was treated with respect and love; and that was so important to me in this stage of her life. Yes, it is a bilingual place, their English is not fluent, but they try to give you their best. My little one dealt with other kids from different cultures, and now she knows about diversity, and for me it's a BIG BLESSING. In my case, my baby didn't have any experience before in Day Care, I was so scared, but when I hear my little one singing songs, waking up every morning happy, and finishing her program more confident and enthusiastic; I can recommend this place 100% for sure. Ms. Patricia you're THE BEST TEACHER EVER, thank you for being the light in my baby's life.

If someone at the school did speak good English they did not refer me to speak with them. The schools location is great and my child tried out one of the classes. He seemed to really like the feel of the class. Overall I was not able to enroll my child in this school due to communication and feeling like the staff did not care about my concerns. I was extremely disappointed with how me and my child's needs were handled. If you do not speak Spanish I do not think this is the school for you and your family.

My family and I were very disappointed with our experience when trying to schedule a school tour…read more As Deaf parents, we simply asked The First Academy to provide an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter so we could fully understand the information being shared during the tour. Despite multiple emails and opportunities to reconsider, the school declined to provide an interpreter. Instead, we were told to rely on written communication, tablets, and "extra time," which are not effective or equitable substitutes for real-time ASL access. This does not provide meaningful communication for Deaf adults, especially during an important process like evaluating a potential school for our children. We were also told we could "bring our own interpreter," which shifts the burden of accessibility onto families rather than meeting basic inclusion standards. We left the interaction feeling that the school was not prepared to support the communication needs of Deaf parents. Accessibility should not be optional, and it should not depend on families paying out-of-pocket to participate. I hope the school takes this feedback seriously and re-evaluates its approach to serving Deaf and hard-of-hearing families in the future.

She looks forward to going every day and I love how the new Director, Donna and the teachers show up every day with a big smile on their face and make it feel that you're part of the family. Also in a short time, my daughter can count to 20 in both English and Spanish and her vocabulary has increased over the past 6 months. Not to mention they also potty trained her within a few days. Yes, it's a small place, in an almost empty shopping plaza but we have had a great experience here. Plus having the cameras and the app are huge to check up on the kiddo.

I am leaving this review because I feel parents deserve to know about my experience with Creative…read moreHands Academy and what happened involving my 4-year-old son. My son had been telling me that he did not want to go to school anymore and repeatedly made statements about being physically handled by staff. He told me that one teacher would pinch him underneath his arms when he was not behaving. He also told me that another teacher would scratch him hard on his head during nap time when he did not want to sleep, while yelling at him to go to sleep At first, I wanted to make sure I fully understood what was happening before jumping to conclusions. However, these were not things he told me just once. He brought them up on multiple occasions, and as his mother, I became increasingly concerned. I went to the school personally and asked to see the surveillance footage. The school did show me footage involving my son, and I personally witnessed behavior that was extremely upsetting to me. I saw my son being picked up and dragged out of the classroom by his arms through out the halls and then being pushed while he was attempting to get up from the floor when she tossed in the classroom by the DIRECTOR Andreina Romero The school told me they could not provide me with a copy of the footage but that they could provide it directly to DCF. During my conversation with the school, I was also told that there had been several previous discussions with one of the staff members involved regarding her being aggressive with children. Lesbia Vargas. The staff member's behavior was described to me as being "old school." Hearing that there had already been concerns and discussions regarding the way this employee interacted with children made the situation even more concerning to me. At this point, I have made a report to DCF and am allowing the appropriate authorities to investigate what happened. I am also requesting that the relevant surveillance footage and records be preserved and reviewed. I am not writing this review to make a determination about what happened beyond what my son reported to me and what I personally witnessed on the surveillance footage. I am writing because parents trust schools and daycare providers with their children, and I believe parents have a right to know when serious concerns arise regarding how their children are being treated. My son is four years old. He should feel safe, protected, and cared for when he is away from home. No parent should have to hear their child say they don't want to go to school because they are afraid of how an adult is treating them. I sincerely hope this situation is thoroughly investigated and that appropriate action is taken to ensure the safety and well-being of every child at this facility. All the staff here is a bunch of Spanish women just working for a check and don't have the patience nor proper training to deal with smaller children. I should be able to leave my child under care while I go to work knowing my son is safe and being well taken care of. The footage I witnessed I wouldn't wish on anyone's child being treated and handled that way. DCF has been notified and I just pray that more children speak up of this is happening to them as well. I don't care how "old school" a teacher is these are NOT their children to be putting their hands on them and treating them this way!
