I…read morecan say this company is really doing it right when it comes to taking care of their facilities and patrons. I believe I first joined in 2018 and cancelled during COVID. Now back in 2025 and I can see some improvements. They have a lot of different machines and free weights, spaces to do Gtx classes, hot yoga, cycling, morning runs, pickle ball... I mean, you pay for what you get. I love that the women have their own sauna and hot tub, and can use the coed by the pool as well. It's never so crowded that you can't get machines and the staff is actually helpful. I definitely recommend.

As we were on our way to Galveston for our week long cruise, we booked a stay in Webster to do touristy things and this lifetime was a whopping 4 min drive from our hotel. I'm impressed with the cafe, locker rooms and kids club! As usual, the amenities are consistent with our home LT in Austin, the front desk always was welcoming at 6am for me running in, getting my workout in and then leaving. I find the studio classrooms are slightly smaller but the instructor Melanie was still great at 7:30am on a Friday, I was a little jealous that this LT has amazing classes that start at 5:30am for the folks who love their early bird hours in the day and impressed to see it was waitlisted! I dropped our 5 year old for a little of the kids club and even decided if we wanted to do Parents Night out at this LT, as this one doesn't seem to have a waitlist, our Austin North location separated by age groups for the younger kids vs older kids but this LT seemed to have less enrollment which probably means all the kids get to play together. The pools were huge and I'm sure if we weren't visiting during the winter freeze, the outdoor slides and pools would be more popular! I thought it was neat to see the individual hot tubs inside the locker rooms and steam room and saunas, although my husband and I occasionally like to have our sauna time together. Overall, the floors and machines were well kept, my cafe experience for coffee, smoothies and food consistent and the fact that we could have a space to explore while we were in town was fun to boot! Normally we visit the LT sugar land location as my parents are in SW Houston so this was a treat to try something new! Thank you LT Baybrook for keeping us healthy and entertaining us on our few days in the area! :) Looking forward to returning if and when we're in the Clear Lake NASA bubble!

The real Birthplace of Texas, Santa Anna surrendered right down the street at the San Jacinto monument. Don't listen to those other guys who claim the same... We caught 'em! We have Parks and recreation that anyone would be ashamed that they didn't take advantage of..... a Community Theatre that I should really look in to. We have a great dog park and regular events for the kids and family. Oh, and a beautiful golf course. One of the most beautiful public golf courses in the nation. The restaurant is currently run by a private contractor, who I think is more interested in the golf than the food (yuk) but when it was run by Jeremy, the city employee it was amazing! I hosted a wedding there, it was gorgeous! And a reception. Both events were beautiful and the food was incredible. The service was wonderful. The city should really get rid of this new contractor and beg Jeremy back. It's an amazing Spanish style building with this huge cannon in front of this long staircase. Would be perfect for all types of parties. The Deer Park High School softball team has won the State Championship in 2012 and 2014 and were finalist in 2013.. (Wikipidedia is cool! I knew we were having those parades for a reason!) Speaking of Parades, give us a reason! We like to throw candy. If our children hear a Firetruck go bye they put their little hands up ready to catch a piece! We do love a good parade! Deer Park boasts such notable sons and daughters as Andy Pettitte, retired professional baseball pitcher for the New York Yankees and The Houston Astros (his house is way cool). Chelsi Smith, Miss Universe 1995 (She came in to the Dr's office I worked at during her reign (No! I can't tell u why?!). Charles Holcolmb, Tx Judge of the Court of Criminal Appeals, 2001-2010. Also a city attorney for the city of Deer Park. (Wiki,I didn't know about him... I swear!!) Ron White, comedian attended Deer Park High School. (Don't know if he was born here but I do remember him referring to the oil refineries in his act once) So, in summation Deer Park is a cool place right next to a bunch of job creating, economy boosting,Oil refineries. Definitely don't move here..... It's only for the very brave.

Every hurdle we came across Nick was there to walk us through it. Nick listened to us on how we needed the pool design to be and gave us exactly what we were looking for. When changes were needed or required he was quick to take care of it and get it back to us. Anthony and his crew then jumped in and got our pool build completed in record time. In comes Nick, from Platinum, (our sales guy) who nailed the design that was perfect for us. He worked closely with us to finalize the price and the contract. He was friendly, and very knowledgeable, always professional and patient. Next we met Anthony, our project manager. Anthony has been awesome - again professional, friendly and always easy to get a hold of. He has been great about paying attention to details and making sure we get the pool we signed up for. Finally, we met Blake and Joseph - it was time for Pool School. These guys did a great job explaining everything. Walking us through the system, how to operate it and keep it running well and keep the pool beautiful for years to come. Overall, we are super pleased with the service we received and the quality of the pool we have to create our perfect backyard oasis!

This is by far the worse front desk service of all LA Fitness in all Houston area locations, this…read morepertains primarily to the morning service as this is the time I visit. The service for the past 9 months has been non-existent. For the existing LA members let you facility know about the service so that the establishment can fix the situation. The service here has NO "acknowledgement", NO "have a good workout", NO eye contact, NO "Good Morning" NO INTERACTION whatsoever. Putting your scanner on the counter, continue to watch social media and not acknowledging the member is unacceptable. Front desk is the face of the company, first interaction with their members. I have brought this up to the facility twice and no clear outcome that is will fix the situation not with me personally but for this location. This issue was brought up six months ago and was addressed, it was a tad bit better for one week and back to the normal rude behavior. This comes down to the management team, listen to the members, bring up the issue, have warning and consequences and address the problem as needed. Domyour due diligence, check cameras, ask your morning members, or even ask corporate to do a survey. Once in a while the behavior is tolerable, as people we all have our own personal issues but nine months of the repetitive behavior is just not right. Think - what position is csr front desk? Happy smiling, contact service, fake it even if you have to smile service. I'm sure LA Fitness didn't hire someone to play on the phone during the shift to bring this attitude. Well, to be honest, local mgmt did address the issues, they pointed out to the intended front desk that I was the person to address this issue. That person now knows who is complaining and my service from the front Desk is solved but they does not do justice for the other members of the facility, I have nothing personal with this person and nothing against that person. If I was managing the facility I would have done better than treat this as an isolated incident. As very recent changes has seen that I am not the source of the problem but I am trying to do a service to the company. Anyways I have send in my cancellation mail, I will not be coming to this particular gym. On a bright side, As overall LA Fitness is pretty good, it was just this particular gym that bothers me a little, I am contemplating about canceling still because as a whole most All LA fitness facilities are satisfactory. Best regards to all
