Be aware of its "Expiration of Tutor Instructional time" policy and how they use this expiration policy to rip you off thousands of your hard earned money! If you are a new customer, they give your kid a diagnostic test much harder than real SAT. Based on the score, they recommend you to buy lots of hour to reach your desired score. This is fear mongering! Hard test, low score, more hours==more money. At sign-up, you will be told the "100% money back guarantee tuition refund program", no single word about the "Expiration of Tutor Instructional time" policy. If you are an existing customer, they have promotion during the year. Right now, you all should get emails "Get our biggest savings of the year - Enroll now!" from C2. Be aware of this trap! They will encourage you to purchase lots of hours on top of current balance during promotion period, called "upgrade". BE AWARE of how they use the "Expiration of Tutor Instructional time" policy to rip you off. Ever since you pay for "upgrade", all the hours your kid uses from now on will be deducted from the "upgrade". Your hours from the balance of previous payment will be kept till its expiration. That means once you pay for "upgrade", your balance is set to zero no matter how many hours you have in your balance. How the used hours were logged is also dubious. My kid took some practice tests in the center. I tried to schedule meetings with the director when the test result came out. During the meeting, the director usually wrote down the hours used leading to the practice test. She usually utilized the number of used hours as an explanation for the test result. Now when I requested refund and finally got the list of the logged hours from the center, the logged hours from the list are much higher than the numbers I was given during the meetings. I was explained how the contract works in much more detail and depth when I ask for refund for over hundreds of unused hours, which worth more than $10k. Now I realized how the contract and the way the director conducted her business are fraudulent. It is a long story. I am in the legal battle with C2 now. As a good citizen, I feel it is my responsibility to let the general public know how fraudulent C2 business is. Please feel free to share my posting. Hope no others will be ripped off as much as I was.

Very high risk move as Allen will tell you, but I passed the exam...above target in all 3 domains to boot! Allen's class was EXTREMELY valuable. There's so much content to learn and absorb. I can't imagine learning everything on my own without having the boot camp as the study foundation. The additional resources you get through PMA's student portal were very helpful as well.

We had to buy two books that we rarely used and I did not progress much in learning French. Very little speaking opportunity. The teacher basically reads off answers and never calls on anyone so you won't have an opportunity to speak French unless you really assert yourself over the other students. Everyone spoke English during class so it's not immersive. You even ask questions in English. On the plus side, it was a nice, relaxed atmosphere. The teacher was very nice and helpful.

I was excited to start the class and waited till the class opened and did the part I saw through the portal. Then I emailed the professor and checked if I needed to do anything else before the class. He responded to my email and said that I would pass the class. So, I attended the first class and realized attendance was not necessary. The professor talked nonstop about his background and his experience. One of the classmates literally asked if he could talk about the exam which everyone worried about. We got through the whole class by chatting and going over the quizzes, no lecture at all. He did not even go into details of what was expected in the exam. The class has no clear instruction of the agenda/syllabus. I only followed the content to complete the on-going tasks to get my grade. The lesson review has repeated information. What I meant is on each topic, it has written description, then it has old slides on a video and then there's a JD talked over the same topic again. All the information is the same. Then there's a reading assignment of about 50s pages every chapter assigned other than the textbook. If by chance, repetition will make us pass, then why do we need to have a "professor". Any moderator can do that part, even an assistant. Other than that, there's a forum type of discussion for each lesson. It's like nonstop feed (around 50s) coming through every day. Honestly, we are not "real" students who have nothing to do but go to class. We have work during the day. I honestly think that everyone has their own opinions. What's the point of chatting about the same topics and reading things 100x every day. That doesn't help us to pass the class. In addition, the exam is scheduled with prometric. I am totally nervous for the exam. Seriously, I still have no idea what will be in the exam. The most frustrating experience was customer services. There are days that school closes early. There are other days that no one picks up. The worst experience was that the Advisor claimed I consumed her time and refused to listen to my frustration. The whole purpose is to ask if she has some tips to get by the course. She literally said I used her 16 minutes, and we were not going anywhere, but she also could not provide me help except telling me to talk to my professors. Oh well, if my company reimburse me elsewhere, I will totally not to choose American College. I will tell you why: (1) unreliable instructors (2) bad customer services (3) useless designation advisors NOOOO... highly NOT recommending American College of Financial Services, unless you have lots of time to go over the troubles.

At every single step of the way, ordering books, registering for classes, and talking to their "customer support", it has been an unmitigated disaster. I have had to watch them like a hawk to ensure delivery of books, registration of correct courses, and receiving test results. In order to get simple textbooks THAT I HAD PAID FOR it took weeks of chaos, wrangling, and following up with them just to get a simple book. While customer support can be helpful, you'll often sit on the phone for 20-30 minutes waiting, and then it's a crap shoot as to whether whatever problem they caused gets fixed after you hang up. I've lost at least a month of study time due to their incompetence. A business like this is supposed to help students pass. Their materials, again, seem pretty good. However, everything else seems like a disaster.

Giving this school a 3 stars for many reasons but one reason I would like to write about is the Bennett Center. We were told many times to contact the center after graduation for any questions. I called and email the center but never got a reply or call back. I know how the place is as a student already so did not bother to call back. The practice and management course at PCO is a waste of time and money. Busy work. Many lectures are repeated during the 4 years. Maybe we need to hear it again when we come back as a 4th year?? PCO is in the process of changing for the better. I know some professors are working hard to make PCO a better school. Proud to be a PCO alumnus.
