Pima Stone used to be D & H Materials, and we have purchased many tons of gravel from them over the years. The price was right and their drivers spread the gravel with their trucks over our dirt road and driveway. AB gravel has held up to the weather well over the years, but several ditches have developed from storms and runoff from neighbors.
So I called and found that D & H was now Pima Stone, same phone number, and the price had gone up considerably. Okay. We ordered 10 tons of 1/2" gravel for our driveway and yard, and 10 tons of AB gravel for the dirt road in front with the ditches. Both drivers were really good about putting their loads where I wanted it, but with the AB the truck's dumping mechanism got stuck and several tons ended up on my neighbor's road. I asked management to fix the situation with either a front-end loader to push the gravel back where it belonged, or to reimburse the cost of me hiring someone to do it with a shovel and wheelbarrow. They refused both, said I would have to pay to get it moved, that they did me "a favor" by even spreading it in the first place. By failing to make it right, Pima Stone has lost this long-time customer. read more
