I have just had a delightful weekend here staying in a Shepherd's hut overlooking rolling fields and hills. The owners Jo & Martin were extremely kind and welcoming, and each morning brought us breakfast in a little basket. I brought my horse who stayed in their smart and well maintained barn facility. The surrounding countryside is stunning with many excellent hacking routes, including easy access to an amazing beach where you can gallop the horses and let them paddle in the sea. We were given good advice on routes including maps. In summary this is an excellent B&B, the shepherd's huts are a charming and inexpensive form of accomodation and you do not necessarily have to bring a horse to come! Apart from breakfast we self catered, we were given access to a fridge and there was a BBQ & picnic area outside our hut. It was great being able to sit out to eat and enjoy the views. If you do not fancy the Shepherds hut option, there is also the campsite or holiday homes to let. This was my second trip to Pilton Moor and I hope it will not be my last, I hope to be a returning customer for many years to come. Please be aware that the postcode for the area has landed the map 'pin' on Qype slightly to the west of where the stables actually are, although it is on the right road in roughly the right place. read more
