I actually stopped ordering in German and switched to English when they seemed to have trouble understanding my (Bavarian accented, at that) German. Odd, but okay. This happened both times I went, with different staff members. All of them were friendly though. Ok, so most taps are non-German. They do have plenty of German beers in bottle. And their spirits selection is quite large, but I assume much of it is past its prime - this doesn't seem like the kinda place where all of the Scotch whisky flies off the shelves, for example. Just a guess, I can't back up either claim. The Guinness was only okay. They claim to have food but I never saw any proof of it. I didn't see any TVs either. And their music is pretty bad...nothing even resembling Irish pub music, either traditional or modern day. It's fine for a drink, but there are better places in Ingolstadt.

But to find Redbreast, Green Spot and Yellow Spot single Pot still whiskey is a real treat. Enjoyed the Guinness and Beef Pie. Savored a glass of Green Spot after my Guinness. The food is not as Irish as you would usually expect it to be, but it's still delicious and they offer weekly specials from all around the world (in addition to their normal pub grub). You can drink a variety of beers, but the cider is what get'a me every time! I'm not a big drinker but even I know that the variety of whisk(e)y they offer is far more than what your normal pub next door has. All in all a great place to spend your nights and have a chat with a random stranger. The staff is also very willing to strike up a conversation, so you won't be all on your own (if you didn't bring friends in the first place that is) I'll be sure to come back soon!

My German was from a long time ago and not very fluent, so wading through the menu yielded us a dinner of sorts. Wife had Kasespatzle ( a cheesy noodle dish) at 14.30 euros, I had a nine piece plate of Nurnberger bratwurst at 15 euros. Our wines were at 6.20 and 7.50 euros. We were our of place and basically ignored, so left when we finished our meals.
