Well on 06/12/2026 I came into the store only to see the people I was use to seeing are all gone and the store had changed hands. The Indian people have bought it, and as usual in those 711 owned by them, the service can not be so good, at least not for me, and I have visited a lot of these stores. The two youngsters were playing around and gave me that (LOTTERY MACHINE IS DOWN) crap, not knowing I have gotten that in their stores a lot so I just don't go to them. So I made up my mind to just not go to 711s never again regardless what state I'm in. I have Quik trip and Circle K where the service is better all the time. These folks have attitudes with certain people and risk being the recipients of a large lottery win. The McCausland store is no more. The old staff were friendly but not now.

The other was a young girl with curly blonde hair and glasses. She must be fairly new because I'm not sure that I've seen her there before. The line was long - about 4 customers in front of me and, eventually, another 4 or 5 behind. When it was my turn, I requested a pack of cigarettes. She retrieved and scanned them and then asked for my ID. I was a little surprised but thought it must be a new policy. As I was getting my wallet to show her my ID, she said, "If you don't have it I can't sell them to you, and then called out, NEXT." I showed her my ID and paid for my cigarettes. I had to laugh. I'm 68 years old, so it's not even a close call. I understand that some stores have this policy and it has nothing to do with my apparent age. At one time, this store had a policy of asking for ID from everyone, but they haven't done so in years. As I was leaving, another patron made a comment about the absurdity. The cashier then shouted at me, "Don't come back again without your ID!" ?? The ID she had just look at? I explained that I'm not usually carded there and asked if I was a new policy. I believe she said, "Yes." I was not happy with her rudeness and lack of professionalism. When I asked her name, she rattled off something intelligible and refused to repeat it.

Fast service? No. Friendly service? Yes. Locally owned? Yes…read more This place is always busy. Don't freak out when you see a line waiting to check out. They'll get to you soon enough! Their location makes them very convenient, it's just too bad their front lot is so tight (you can park on either side or in the back lot.) They have some great pricing on some things (beer, smokes, candy) yet not as great on chips and sodas. They have very good coffee and feature Paul's Donuts and some other good looking snack-food items which, even though I have not tried them, do seem to be popular. Regardless, the main point of a gas station is gas after all, and they are usually the first station in this area to lower the price.
