Went in on Sunday, November 2, 2025 and ordered from the kiosk. Paid at 9:23 AM and waited... waited... waited... waited... waited for over 20 minutes for our order - a bowl and a panini plus two drinks. I actually finished my drink waiting for our food. Watched two very lazy, unmotivated, chatty to each other employees move with the speed of sloths about the kitchen - not really accomplishing anything. When we came in only one other person was in front of us. By the time we got our food easily 15 people were standing around frustrated. Substandard employees with no motivation your customers haven't got the time to tolerate. Hope their pay reflects their terrible job performance.

I've been traveling in my RVs for a number of years now and frequently use Love's Travel Stops to…read morefuel my diesel pusher. from the trucker's side of the business they all look pretty much the same, a row of high flow diesel fuel islands, a prepay fuel counter inside, with restrooms and showers for the truckers. I rarely venture pass the fuel counter - the staff here was very friendly and efficient so although I have to make two trips inside one to prepay and another to retrieve my actual receipt I'm used to their protocols so it is what it is. Nothing bad or surprising here diesel fuel is dirty but they seem to be on top of things here most Love's location periodically pressure wash the fuel island and have buckets of soapy water and bug sponges and squeegee near each fuel pump (the ones I used this visit needs replacement they are a little worn). There's no doubt I'll stop again if I need fuel when I'm back in the area since Love's is my fuel stop of choice, trust me they are next level when compared to a lot of their competitors...

We own a home on Fowl River and property on Dauphin Island. I have bought gas, water, snacks, and even cooked Jambalaya at this place on so many occasions. I particularly go here when I am about to take my dogs on a hike at nearby Muddy Creek. I have never been checked out by the owner, only other employees. Today, I pulled up to a center pump, in full view of any cameras which may exist. I had my two dogs and my nephew's tiny dog in the car, happily waiting on me to return. I went into the store, walked to the candy section, because I was craving a few of the big lemon heads for my long hike. They didn't have any, but I thought a couple of blow pops would do the trick. I didn't pick up ANYTHING; I didn't even bend down and reach for anything. I decided to go to the bathroom first. I went into the single bathroom, spent about a minute in there, and came out. I was carrying a red leather clutch. I walked back to the candy section to get my blow pops. When I turn around, I see the man at the register fiercely staring me down. I walk to the register, hand him two blow pops, and grab a dollar out of my clutch. He motions toward my purse, looks at it, and says "What's in your purse?" I said, "Huh, it's my purse." Then, he stares at me. I tell him never mind, I don't want anything, and I storm out. My intention had also been to get gas, but I literally was in shock. I came back in a minute later, and we began yelling at one another(which probably wasn't the best idea). He kept yelling to me that I was nothing----(btw, I hold an M.B.A. and manage myself and my parents' 27 rental properties). He said this was his store and he had a right to accuse anyone he wanted of theft .The business owner thought he could dehumanize and demoralize a young woman(alone) today. I have alerted the Mobile County Sheriff's office of the encounter. I am making at formal Better Business Bureau complaint. And, I will post this experience on every Mobile County and South Mobile County social media account I can. Please do not shop with ugly humans who seek to make "The Island" any ugly place.
