This was conveniently located off the interstate. Stopped to get gas and use the bathroom. It smells of Cinnabon when. You walk in... very tempting. They also have a Wendy's connected. The bathrooms were nice and clean. Gas was $3.24 for unleaded as of 7/11/21. read more

Came here on my way to Louisville to fuel myself up with food as well as getting fuel. Definitely came here at the wrong time because it was holiday season for Thanksgiving. None the less, the staff was friendly and courteous. Great bathrooms, guests were nice, it had a smaller convenience store section and I enjoyed it actually. Made what could of been a long wait in line a breeze. It's got a Wendy's too that I didn't visit. Great place to check out. It is pricey none the less. read more

When you pull of I-65 at the Lowell exit you have one of two choices, Pilot or Flying-J. Gas prices are almost always the same, but we chose to pull into Pilot because this gas station/Wendy's has VERY nice employees. Many times they are busy busy, but everyone maintains a professional and "happy" attitude. It's the reason we keep coming back. read more

Every trip from Milwaukee to Indianapolis (which I make about once every two months), I alternate stopping for gas between here and the Flying J across the street. The gas is cheap (with lots of lanes/pumps, even at a busy time the wait is minimal), the restrooms are clean, the convenience store is well-stocked, the staff are friendly, and hey...there's even a McDonald's for those early morning drives when my willpower to avoid such establishments is sapped. For a gas stop in between Chicago and Milwaukee, you could do much worse -- it's far enough from Chi-town to avoid paying premium fuel prices, and removed just a bit from the mess of options just off I-65 on US Highway 30 to make a good stop. read more

The bathrooms are standard. They do something weird with their lighting because any and all food looks incredible. Even the nasty hot dogs on the spinner rack and the day old donuts. It all looks. so. good. read more

DO NOT BUY GAS FROM THESE THIEVES!! Pilot Gas sucks rocks, they charge $150 hold if you drive up to the pump and put your card in. With a valid and verified debit or Visa card you get charged $150 regardless of how much gas you buy and then it goes back off your account after 3 days. I called pilot corporate office , their support line and they told me that it was the Visa holder that was responsible for that and that they do that for all gas purchases. That's dead wrong, my card holder replied saying that most of their Visa customers that use pilot see this hold, but not with other gas vendors. Thee is no sign next to the pump saying you're going to be charged $150 with a hold on your account. Therefore there is no consent involved here, this is simply robbery. Pilot = highway robbery. read more

I travel enough for work and living away from family that when I visit a great travel stop I feel strongly that I should acknowledge the spot. I ordered a salad at the Wendy's. I forgot to get no cheese. I went around the corner to take the cheese off in the garbage and a manager noticed, stopped, and asked if I received a salad with cheese when I had wanted none. I told her it was my fault and had not said no cheese. She took it out of my hand and said "no problem sweetie I'll get you one right away". Her name was Virginia. Instead of treating me like the non-dairy yuppie I was acting like she was kind and genuine and offering great customer service. It's especially notable in contrast to my previous review from last week where an actual yuppie-targeting establishment made it very clear that directly asking for a gluten free option was an inconvenience to them. Thanks Virginia and Wendy's! I also bought popcorn and coffee at the Pilot connected and the cashier was equally kind and outgoing. I have overpassed this stop every time on my bi-monthly drive from Indy to Milwaukee because it's close to the big "30"/Merrillville exit. I won't next time! read more

Pilots are one of the nicer truck stop chains around and this one lives up to the brand. There's a full McDonald's inside which is pretty convenient. Restrooms are large and clean. The convenience store has a huge selection of drinks and snacks for the thirsty/hungry traveller. read more

I stop here just about every time I drive up to visit my parents to refuel and grab a bottle of water and such. The bathrooms are clean, there are a lot of pumps so I have never had to wait to get gas. They also have a McDonald's attached, if you're into that. It is a clean, decent stop on the highway to get gas and use the bathroom. It is well-lit and usually busy, so you don't get that creepy "I'm gonna get murdered/raped" feeling when you stop here, even if it is late at night. read more

Really nice employees who have personal pride in their work and it shows! Super clean and well stocked. Supervisor was doing a weekly compliance checklist and she seemed to interact well with every employee. This place has a great staff and I hope corporate doesnt mess with this by cutting hours or getting cheap. It's a newer pilot and unlike some other newer ones the staff will take good care of it!
