Cheap gas as you cross the border from North Carolina into South Carolina where the gas tax drops by about a quarter I think. There is also a Wendy's and a Dunkin Donuts. Convenience store has a lot of good stuff for the truckers among us, including tshirts and hats but also CB radio and DVD players and other electronics that appear to be slanted towards the big rig drivers. Easy to get back on the highway! read more

Pilot Travel Center - Truck Rental Near Me - Blacksburg, South Carolina

For the life of me I cannot understand why this Pilot location isn't rated over 4 if not 5 stars! I've had to stay at this location for the past 4 days/nights and it way exceeded my expectations. First off, the bathrooms are super clean and well maintained. The food areas are organized and again SUPER clean. They mop the floors constantly and the team is always looking to make the place organized. Food wise, service at Taco Bell and Wendy's is MEH but for the Pilot side, food is hot, fresh and in good supply. Plus the staff is friendly and helpful. Lastly the showers.....they are THE CAT'S MEOW! Clean as a whistle. Cleaned and sanitized between each patron. Super hot water (if you want that) and great water pressure. Plus clean towels and soap. Well worth the $17! While I'm working remotely, I'm watching the staff outside clean the concrete near the pumps, wipe the trash cans and pumps down, etc. They are always cleaning up the grounds, emptying trash, etc. Well done Pilot! This is why I stop here with the rig while on travels! read more

First stop in SC after crossing the state line and first opportunity to take advantage of the lower state gas tax. Busy so you may have to wait to get in line for the pumps. If you have to go inside, very busy but very clean with an opportuiniyt to grab a bite at Wendy's, Subways or Dunkin Donuts. Very clean for what is basically a truck stop read more

The parking lot is absolutely atrocious it smells like garbage and urine and there's garbage everywhere it's basically a ghetto parking, try not to get out of your truck you'll be better off. read more

The prices are literally three times full retail anywhere else. So eff you if you're on a limited budget. The restroom was disgusting but I had to go so I cleaned the stall I used myself. As I was using the facility a presumed employee wanders through and begins slamming the doors and it sounded like whatever else he could slam. If this was my place he'd be fired for trying to bust stuff. If this is a policy to discourage people from getting comfortable, well it works. I'm not going to be able to completely evacuate which means another stop somewhere else, praying they're less hostile. Avoid the place if you can. I do NOT recommend a stop here. read more

Stopped in, very very clean. Restrooms were clean and nice. Gas was cheap, and staff was friendly!

This is a frequent stop for me when I'm heading up or down I-85, mainly because it's the first or last chance for the cheaper South Carolina gas. It also has a variety of fast food choices under one roof. The place is generally clean, as well. read more

One of my more favored gas stations! I love the fact that if I'm hungry I have the option to choose from the Pilot kitchen or Wendy's. Then if I want dessert then I can go to Dairy Queen. Great for truckers, they have all kinds of Truckers essentials needs. I do recall they have a scale and possibly some showers. read more

I love this pilot! They have all my road trip travel needs in one spot! The customer service in the Wendy's is A1, the cashiers for the gas station are so pleasant and the FOOD cannot be matched by any other gas station... fried chicken is always good, and the prices are always right! I asked for a very specific baconator from Wendy's with hot fried and they truly delivered! I love how pleasant everyone is here and definitely have been here 6x since moving to SC October 1st! read more

This Pilot station was very clean, the cashier was a delightful young lady, there was no wait for a shower, and the powdered donuts were surprisingly fresh. Who could ask for more? read more

We stopped for fuel and to get some snacks and drinks. The staff was very driendly and selection is fantastic. I like the app because you get 3cents off per gallon of gasoline. They also have monthly specials/deals. read more

I like it here everything's okay and it has a lot of food selections they have telephone for used tables you can sit and stay for awhile they're a little expensive but if you shop around and look you can find good deals in there. I don't think you should have to use your card for everything but they prefer it. Good coffee selections. If you smoke don't go there read more

I never write reviews for gas stations, but I love this place! There's just something about this place that I love. I'm not sure who runs it, but it feels like it's a family run joint even though it's a Wilco station. It's also older, and not flashy, but they obviously take great care in the place. The bathrooms are always clean, and have decorations for every season. The windshield cleaner buckets are always stocked with paper towels and full of cleaning solution too, which is a pet peeve of mine. And the biggest bonus is that it's just inside the SC border, so the gas is always a lot cheaper than in NC! read more

Best gas station along this stretch of interstate. Newly renovated with clean facilities. Dunkin', Wendy's, and DQ are the food options. Place is always crowded because it's right at the NC state line. Download Pilot App and save a few cents/gallon. read more

Fine place to gas up and pee when you're on the road. They had Twizzlers in the C-store, so all was well.

I was in line at 9:56 for breakfast and I 10:00 it was my turn and the said I missed breakfast, being a truck driver I am always at a pilots, since they treat customers like this I will never visit a pilot or Wendy's again. read more
