(I figured it would be faster to iron it on myself than have a vendor do it because many places actually outsource printing which makes it take too long.) I called Candroy and talked through my goal with Brian. While we were on the phone, he asked me to send the images and he confirmed that they could print them directly on a shirt that I provide, but that they do not create iron-ons for people to take away and apply themselves. I was immediately worried about cost. No problem. My t-shirt involved printed font and images that took up most of the space on both the front and the back of the shirt. He said if I could provide the t-shirts that day, he could have them for my in two business days. Brian also suggested I go to Michael's craft store to get the t-shirts which was such a score, because they have good quality t-shirts there for $2.99. I provided the shirts to Brian on Friday afternoon and he had them ready for me on Tuesday! They came out really well and they are now my go-to for all of the products they offer. The price could not be beat with any other vendor I had checked with prior to talking to Brian and they look fantastic - SO much better than I could have done if I had to go the iron-on route. Plus, he's just a really nice guy. Thank you Brian!

I had multiple custom embroidery projects and he executed every single one perfectly! From embroidering the interior of a wedding keepsake box, to my custom Disney bridesmaid sweaters for my sisters bachelorette, and even a custom date tote bag for a friends gift, everything came out better than I imagined! On top of that, his turnaround time was fast, the pickup process (after hours locker) was easy, and his pricing is very good and affordable. What I appreciated most was his constant communication. Kevin kept me updated throughout the entire process with texted pictures, checked in on me with the designs and layout and made sure everything met all my expectations. He even went above and beyond to recommend colors and placements and I genuinely couldn't be happier with the results. Big tip, show up with pictures of the text or design you would want embroidered and send them to Kevin to streamline the process. But honestly, kevin is truly is an expert in the field and he'll make sure it will be exactly how you'd want it! If you need any embroidery done, please go see Kevin and his team. Seriously You won't regret it. Thank you so sooo much Kevin and everyone at Merlin's embroidery! I will truly recommend you guys to anyone I know!

I found this business through Yelp while searching for a custom shirt company for a large multidisciplinary project with other investors. Their excellent reviews, quality work samples, design assistance capabilities, and small minimum orders for samples made them appear to be an ideal fit. After reviewing their website and options, I reached out over a month ago but received no response. Assuming my message didn't go through, I contacted them again via Yelp on August 15th and received an initial response. However, after I replied, I had to follow up a week later due to no response. They responded again, and I provided the additional requested information on August 25th. I followed up on September 3rd, and it has now been two weeks since my last message. While I understand the challenges independent businesses face in the current economic climate and have been extremely patient due to their 5-star reviews, this level of communication has been completely unprofessional. As a former small business owner, I always maintained transparency about whether projects were within my scope, ability, or bandwidth. If I couldn't take on a project, I communicated that clearly rather than leaving clients in limbo. After more than a month of unproductive back-and-forth, I question whether these 5-star reviews accurately reflect the current service experience.

The shop isn't open every day, and while part of me wishes it were, it actually makes catching it open feel like a treat. It turns a simple supply run into something I look forward to. My first visit was just to browse. I picked up a few skeins from the discontinued/orphan bin and some fun extras for a crocheter friend. The selection immediately stood out -- this isn't big-box store yarn. The fibers are higher quality and much more enjoyable to work with. On my second visit I purchased a beautiful wool/alpaca blend hank for fingerless gloves. Carol balled the yarn for me and then taught me how to split it into two equal balls for my project. The concept honestly confused me at first, but she explained that you divide by weight rather than yardage -- and suddenly it clicked. One of those "aha" moments you remember later. Shortly after, I returned for two more hanks of the same yarn. Carol again walked me through using the swift and ball winder. I even sat at the big studio table ripping out a glove... twice... while she patiently taught two young students to crochet. Watching her explain foundation chains and rows made it clear she isn't just a shop owner -- she's a gifted teacher. Most recently, I brought in gloves I was struggling to finish. She patiently explained the construction in a way my brain could actually process and showed me an alternate method that achieved the same result but was much easier to understand. That kind of support is priceless. Carol consistently shows kindness, patience, and deep knowledge of fiber arts. The shop also carries a huge variety of patterns for knitters and crocheters at every skill level. Parking can feel confusing the first time, but it's easy once you know: there's a lot behind the building -- enter via the driveway to the left of the neighboring house -- plus plenty of street parking. As long as the shop is open, I'll keep coming back. This place feels less like a store and more like a fiber community.

If she hadn't helped me, I would never have been able to figure out how much yarn I needed for my projects! It will be my go-to from now on, as I live close by.
