After meeting with Ron, we had a vision for our yard far beyond what we could have imagined...and we love it. We turned our basic new-construction yard into a gorgeous, park-like oasis. David and his team are truly top-notch. They showed up everyday, worked hard everyday, their attention to detail is readily apparent...and they are true craftsman. Not only that, they took time at the end of every day to clean and sweep the work zone in front of the house to minimize the impact on our neighbors. If you are looking for high-quality, professional and good people...look no further. The before and after pictures speak for themselves. P.S. We didn't know what pit drains were or why we needed them...now we do. With all the recent rain, we have no standing water in the yard. An engineering marvel.

We couldn't be happier with the way our yard turned out. Very trustworthy and professional family business.

Unfortunately, ProVision was the company chosen by our builder to install the landscaping and…read moreirrigation at our home. To say their work is sub-par is an understatement, and giving them zero stars isn't an option. Plants were planted in areas that weren't appropriate for the plant (e.g. putting a hydrangea by a tree - both take a lot of water) causing them to die. Even when they did warranty work and one of their "supervisors" indicated the plant should have never been planted there, they still didn't fix the problem. As for the sprinklers, they seem to have used as few as they could possibly get away with, resulting in consistently large, brown patches. Even after telling them for months about the issues, they refused to rectify the problems, instead using excuses about the soil, the slope of the drainage (which they created), lack of watering, too much watering, etc. It's apparent I'm going to have to replace the existing sprinklers with more powerful ones and add new ones in order to accommodate the needs of my yard. When our warranty period ended, they didn't hand us off to their maintenance department, as promised, so we didn't have the opportunity to get an agreement in place for them to maintain our yard. Communication with their administrative staff was very terse, and not friendly. I suppose when you're dealing with multiple new construction jobs, warranties, and other landscaping jobs, it's easier to brush off customers than actually engage with them. At the end of the day, I don't recommend them and given there are hundreds of other options here in the valley, surely there's a company willing to provide stellar customer service and quality installation and products.

I thought I could do the rest myself, but I realized my limitations and looked for a contractor to grade the planting areas, fix a grassy area that was a mess due to tree roots, fix the irrigation including a whole new drip and replacing the sprinkler zone. In addition, we needed a concrete walkway and some stepping stones. Kam from Art of the Earth (AOTE) came to provide a quote and it was clear he had both a deep understanding of plants and a sense of how to use them within a landscape to create art. He focused on year round color and explained how that would be achieved. We agreed from the beginning that the look I wanted to achieve was as natural as possible without straight lines. The project manager, Tyler, the foreman, Jose and Hernon worked with focus on achieving the vision. I could tell this by the way they would stop, standback and assess the progress. We communicated routinely, and they all listened to our thoughts attentively. There were some additions and subtractions from the initial quote and the price impact was agreed upon promptly and fairly. They cleaned up at the end of every day's work which my wife was particularly happy with. Communication was great throughout, and there were no surprises except they surprised me with ways to surpass my expectations with their focus on achieving our goals. I wholeheartedly recommend AOTE for any work, but especially if you are looking for an artful (not slapped together) look.

Kody planned to meet me on a Saturday, but was able to move it up to a Friday afternoon. He was polite, friendly, offered some welcome suggestions and amazingly had the quote to me in less than 2 hours. After I accepted the bid, he asked when I wanted the project done. Knowing it took a while to even get on their calendar, I kiddingly said. "Preferably in 2023" (Note: I had a horrible experience with my contractor on time-lines, so knowing how busy the summers were I wasn't optimistic.) But I was stunned, thrilled and excited when Kody said; "How about we start on Monday?" I know this may not have been the norm, however, since they did have a crew working on another project in the vacinity, it was easy for the amazing Tyler to come and work on my project. Tyler was efficient, meticulous and extremely tidy as he single handedly beautified my property. Not a hint of rock was left from all the perma-bark that was unloaded in the street, remained where it was dumped. Tyler swept, after each day of work and showed an extreme amount of pride in his work. I would be amiss if I failed to mention, that Monday morning when I was reviewing the project with both Kody and Tyler; that Kody, in the most gentil manner, asked if he could pray with me; over the project, the work being done and all of us involved. I was blown away. I have worked with alot of professing believers in Christ, none of which had ever taken the time to demonstrate their walk, into their work. Thank you Kody, for not only allowing me to EASILY give you a glowing review for you and your crew's work, but to also to see a brother in Christ walk the walk!

Based on our input he drew up a "low maintenance" plan that we approved. The following Spring, the entire front yard was re-landscaped. New trees and shrubbery were added. Upgrades were made to the irrigation system. They also subcontracted with a concrete curbing firm that provided edge enhancements for the planted areas. Thad helped us pick out slate to accent different areas of the yard. In the backyard, they upgraded the irrigation system, planted shrubbery and had curbing installed. The landscaping received rave reviews by the neighbors. Misty, from Sterling, has led a team out every Spring to clean up, prune and prepare the yard for Spring and Summer. They have done a fantastic job. I wholeheartedly recommend Sterling landscape service. 10/10

Flash forward to January we get a call saying they werent paid for the sprinkler blow out, I check all my accounts and they were not paid, but a male employee took my credit card info over the phone in october, and I never heard from them again. We contacted them all and Chuck Edwards was the only one who had responded quickly to our initial inquiry. Even after meeting with each business, again, Chuck was the only one who followed through w/ an email a few weeks later to see if we needed anything else. All of this impressed us a great deal and we liked his portfolio as well so that is how we chose Chuck. We actually sold the first house we were living in when we started the search and built another before we came up with a final landscaping plan. Chuck was very accommodating to help us with the new yard/pavement/driveway choices which made changes to our "unfinished" plans along the way. We told him up front that we wanted his honest opinions both pro and cons to our ideas and we felt that he was able to do that very well. He asked good questions to see if what we thought we wanted fit how we lived. He came up with 2 designs initially and we put them together to come up with a plan that looked great on paper. The best was yet to come. He recommended several different installers and we had them each bid on the job. We went back and forth with having one company do both the hardscape/pavers and the landscaping or have one company do the hardscape/pavers and another one do the landscaping. He was very patient w/ the several emails and phone calls we made throughout this decision process as well. He told us that there are always issues and to make sure to connect with the person, so when problems arise it will make it easier. Great advice ~ there were some issues and that "connection" helped. We are doing the install in phases because we want to cash flow this project. He helped us with making those choices as well. So far we have all the hardscape patio, boulders, lawn, curbing, rock mulch, and many plants installed and we are thrilled. We love it. Next phase will be a water feature, more plants, and possibly another boulder or two. We don't think that we could have done any of this without the great design work from Chuck, the people with whom he connected us, and his encouragement throughout the process. We definitely would choose Chuck Edwards to do our landscaping design work again.
