This year's delivery still looked fabulous a full week after they delivered it. From now on, this is my go to place for flowers in Sumter, SC.

I also loved the fact that this place had at least one other good review which I couldn't even seem to find with the other flower shops in the area. At any rate, a special thanks to you Ms. Gail for taking all my calls and for reassuring me that the flowers would arrive at the funeral home on time and be just as perfect as the picture online. Thank you for texting a picture of the flowers to me as well to calm my nerves since I cannot be there physically to see it in person. Great customer service warrants great support and word of mouth! When I wasn't going to be at home…read moreduring their delivery window, the delivery team at Gary's florist went out of their way to ensure personal delivery, and met me at one of my previously scheduled appointments. They also gave me a segmented box to transport my flowers, as they were presented in a vase - and not a box. Very classy. The flower presentation was awesome. The roses were nestled in a thicket of baby's breath and fern accents. I don't think you could have fit another stem in there. Simply beautiful! The roses were just nearing full bloom, and are quite fragrant (even now - 6 days later) - which sometimes isn't the case. When I changed the water this morning and trimmed the blooms, I noticed they had removed all the thorns (thank you!) and even wired the stems. I must say I'm quite impressed with their attention to detail. I highly recommend Gary's florist the next time you want a floral arrangement to brighten someone's day, commemorate an achievement, honor someone's passing, celebrate a holiday, or....just because! Sumter doesn't have many options for flowers, but Newton's was just what we needed. Once I found what we were looking for, I made a call to the store, and someone actually picked up right away! I had called other places but got no response. After speaking with the kind gentleman on the phone, he explained everything I needed to do and shared the turnaround time and when the flowers would be delivered. He even walked me through how I would receive a confirmation once the flowers were delivered. The whole process was smooth and easy--very convenient. The flowers arrived on time, and we were so grateful for that. If you are looking for a florist, I highly recommend this establishment. We truly appreciate the service they provided.

Instead of my mother receiving the lovely…read morearrangement I ordered from Ozzie's for her 70th birthday, their delivery person did not wait for her to get to the door, left a note (despite instructions to leave it at the door if no one answered), and the RUDE woman who answered the phone told her she would have to come there herself and pick up the flowers because they only deliver once. When she explained she was 70, mobility impaired unable to get there before they closed, the woman didn't care and proceeded to thoroughly upset my mother. So instead of the call I anticipated receiving upon receipt of the flowers, I got a call from my very upset mother at what a horrible experience she had with this horrible woman. Ozzie's--YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF! You obviously place no value on customer service! You have been removed from the listing of the floral service I use regularly, after this woman was even rude with their customer service rep. I will do all within my power to make sure your terrible attitude is made public and that everyone we know in the area, that sends flowers to the area, lives in or has family in the community knows about it! I cannot believe you would turn what should have been a happy occasion into such a terrible one that my mother is still talking about. As your own website says, Your birthday only comes once a year. And you made my mother's memorable for the WRONG reason! Thank goodness there are other florists in the area to fill this order. Ironically, my sister used another local florist, Flowers and Baskets, Inc. who despite having the wrong address (numbers transposed) and other errors on the delivery form, went up and down the street until he found my mother! That's true customer service!
