I happened upon it on a walk one morning before sunrise, and the brightly lit croissants in the window shattered the surrounding darkness. When I returned to the apartment, I told everyone that I would be making another morning walk, but would be returning with some delightful freshness for breakfast. The next two mornings I used the 'Point my finger at' method and brought back deliciously fresh croissants, in various flavors. At 7AM opening not everything was in the case in the small shop staffed by two women, but they were busy loading up. In addition to croissants they also had a nice assortment of quiche. Prices seemed ready for the better neighborhood, and the treats were very fresh and flaky. If you are nearby, and need a nice start to your morning seek out this corner shop. At least the varieties we picked, these had to have been the best. Are these the best in Paris, I don't know. They were of the ones we tried! I distinctly remember any of the fruit varieties being clearly the best. The framboise and other citrusy ones were amazing. Nothing like in the states. The shop itself is very bright and clean. And the service was fast. Their prices weren't too bad either. This place seems legit and the bakery was absolutely beautiful to look at, it also tasted great!

My friends and boyfriend all also got some interesting flavors. The wait definitely took us a while to get through but it is understandable why. At Amorino, they can even shape your gelato into a beautiful rose shape! I would particularly recommend this location as it is really close to the Pantheon! You could grab a scoop or two as you make your way to the final resting place of so many of France's notable men (and 2 women!) If you go the opposite direction, you could walk with your scoop to the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens. Though it was winter when I went, it was still gorgeous! I LOVED Amorino!

The store is gorgeous and will immediately catch your eye, I knew I had to come see what was going on in here. I crossed over and walked in to find the most delightful le merveilleux. I ordered 3 minis which I trekked all over town for the day and later enjoyed for in the evening. They were delish! My advice would be don't trek all over town with them, enjoy them or store them to enjoy later. They were great but they are fairly delicate. These treats are super light and the perfect little treats. The mini size is perfect to enjoy several flavors. I'm a Los Angeles native and while many may say they haven't seen or heard of these le merveilleux before, we have a little French bakery at home called Le Mervetty that I've ordered cakes from and they make these. The shop have different branches in Paris as well as the train stations but we went to the one by the Moulin Rouge. It is right smack in the center of the street you wouldn't miss it with its very opulent chandelier hanging by the window. They make and bake their pastries on site as with each and every patisserie in Paris it seems. So everything is freshly baked!
