Never get your piercings here is an understatement. In November, I got three piercings: belly/navel…read morepiercing, "helix," and conch. Costing me around $100 (without tip). Cheryl pierced my belly button without informing me know that I didn't have the ring anatomy to support a belly button piercing. I thought I was healing fine until the around May/June. I started noticing more crust build up even with regularly cleaning. I also didn't wear clothing that fit the belly area super tight. I had gone to a different and apparently more well informed piercing shop (not Emerald) and they broke the news to me. I went in under the impression that my piercing needed to be downsized because the swelling had gone down but instead I was told that my body was rejecting the jewelry because I didn't have the right anatomy for it. Then my jewelry was inspected by the shop and there were signs that the jewelry was poor quality, inadequate for body jewelry. Now I have scarring on my belly, money loss, and eight months wasted. When I was getting pierced Cheryl was training a new piercer. She should not be training and should get her license reevaluated. The reason helix is in quotations is because my helix piercing was also pierced at a bad location, it was closer to a flat piercing than a helix. Both my helix and conch piercing were removed because it was infected due to jewelry quality. Spark Notes: Please please please go to a better shop to get your piercings, jewelry is about one of the most important part of a PIERCING and even that was cheap, poor, and inadequate. Do NOT come here because its cheaper, that lead to potentially permanent scarring on my belly. - CHEAP JEWELRY - POORLY TRAINED STAFF (DIDN'T INFORM ME THAT MY I DIDN'T HAVE THE RIGHT ANATOMY FOR A PIERCING AND JUST PIERCED IT ANYWAYS, MY PIERCING WAS FLOATING) Avoid this place at all costs or end up like me and have scars everywhere. Getting my money back wouldn't even begin to make me feel better about this. This is such a big hit for me because I frequently wear clothing that shows my belly (hence why I got the piercing). Now I have a big ugly scar. THANKS.

We were told there was no person there to pierce and i should of left after that was said but a young guy walked up and said he could. Went through the paper work process and something told me to ask his age and experience. To my surprise he was 17 years old with 1 year experience. Now yes as a full adult with kids I had my own reservations about allowing this kid yo pierce me but i was like its a needle how bad could this be. Had it been a stomach or other parts that needed more care I would of said no. This is in my opinion. Once set we went to the back and he had his table set up. I looked over at his table and felt like he was missing something. I asked him about the "tongs" (i don't know the proper term they use) but he said he doesn't use it as it gets in the way. He prefers to just stick the needle in and pull it out. After finding the spot i wanted, he told me to tell him to start. Needle went through no problem however after about a minute of him playing with my nose he figured he wasn't going to be able yo detach the needle from the earring. MY LUCK! Side eye. He proceeds to pull and twist my nose to get this needle again and still no success. He then asks can he pull everything out and just place the earring in. Unfortunately i say yes. He pushes the earring and guess what HE CANT PUSH IT THROUGH! I am sitting here trying to save face due yo my son being scared of getting his ears pierced. This is going horribly wrong and I blame myself. They also price all over the place! I was told $30 from someone on instagram and he said $50 in person. We ask for a manager they said no one was present. I told him i would leave a review and he should definitely go back to school for this. If u need any piercing please continue to JUST A POKE around a couple of corners. The place is soley focused on it.

3/5 based on two experiences with two different artists. Please read both before you decide…read more When I first decided to get tatted, this is where I came. I got a semicolon and an infinity (yes I was very basic...) from Cesar. They were shit. The semicolon completely uneven and the infinity is as well because he tatted while he was pulling the skin. I will be getting the infinity covered up this summer. Alternatively, Dan Zapata is the bomb! He did both of the tats I shared to the page (The unreadable one is legible in the mirror so I can read it. It says "this too".) I got the first while he was working elsewhere in Stockton, and the second at Uptown in their new location. Overall, the place is clean, Dan is very friendly, and he makes sure you're getting exactly what you want, no matter how many times he has to re-place the outline. I HIGHLY recommend Dan. I can't say much for the other artist(s).

I hold firm and arrive on time for my appointment. "You didn't bring anybody with you?" "No... Was I supposed to?" "Well, girls usually bring somebody with them." He recounts the customers who bring 10 people with them and how he makes them rotate through the room. One tatt is a quote on my side and another is of two doves. I told him I wanted "cute doves" and he drew them for me. My one of a kind doveys. My piercer has no piercings. I inquire about them suspiciously. "I took them out cause I was a bouncer for a while and I didn't want anybody to be grabbing anything." Legitimate reason enough. Each cartilage piercing hurt more than the proceeding one: by the third one, I no longer felt the tattoos; by the fifth one I was mentally blowing off plans to gym later; by the sixth ring, I had decided, overdose or not, I am going to go home and drug myself with painkillers. To sum up the experience, in 2 hours, I had gotten 6 piercings and 2 tattoos for $240. Cheers, my friends, I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. That brought my piercings up to 19. The artist and the piercer both told me I was going down in their books. I guess it was kind of nuts. I trust them with my tattoos and piercings and you can too.
