A friend told me that I could come here and they'd be able to switch out the pins for the right size. The woman working there measured the width and the watch face as well and told me that it was a 24mm not a 22mm. She looked for pins while I tried to pop out the pins from the original band the watch came with . Eventually we got them out and she was able to put them in the band I wanted to use . She didn't charge me for it and to be honest I felt like she should have . She absolutely refused a tip and we went back and forth until she finally gave in. The service was outstanding and she was so nice !

They were very knowledgeable about the anatomy required for all types of piercings and were honest and communicative about what would and would not work on your body based on anatomy. An added bonus is they can anodize their jewelry to make it any color you like, free of charge! I was nervous about my piercings, but everyone was so nice and really made sure I understood the process and what was happening during each step of the way. I had Dannii do my piercing and they were so kind and knowledgeable, I would recommend them to anyone looking for any piercing. They have such a good understanding of certain styles and designs that would look good on you, so individual and unique! Lana did my friend's daith and tragus, and she really took her time to make sure everything was perfect and lined up exactly to her standard before she proceeded with anything! Though I live in Maine and was only visiting when I got pierced here, I would definitely travel back down and have Dannii (or Lana) do some cartilage piercings on me because they are just that good!!

My fiancé and I went in here to try to get my engagement ring resized. We were greeted and the…read moresalespeople were polite. They took my ring to take a look at it. We were told that if they tried to resize it, they could not guarantee that the welds would not break because the band was thin. We asked what might cause the ring to break and were told that maybe lifting something heavy or hitting it against something. We asked what they defined as "something heavy." They said they didn't know. We kept asking about it because we wanted to make sure that my ring was not going to be destroyed during everyday use. I take it off for work anyway since I work in a profession where there would be a high chance of it getting hit and I lift heavy things all the time. They finally told us, "Well, it might break if you lift a heavy suitcase." We spent another few minutes getting an answer on what exactly "heavy suitcase" meant. We never got an answer. By that point we were very discouraged and the sales people were providing absolutely no confidence in their skill or knowledge. We did not want to pay them almost $150 for something that was going to break just lifting something around the house. I feel like that is unreasonable for an engagement ring. We asked them for an approximate cost of resetting the stones in a similar band of the correct size. They gave us no answer and told us, "Well, I don't know, but it would be cheaper to just resize it." While it may be cheaper, they had just told us it would probably break. We asked for the approximate price on something, not what the cheapest option was. We felt like they were saying, "You look like you obviously don't have the money for a new setting so we will push to to the cheap option." It was a little insulting. WWe decided to get another opinion from a different jeweler. We took it to Kay Jewelers who immediately told us that they did not want to even try to resize the ring because there were cracks in the stones and they were afraid that the heat would break them. It took them about a minute to discover that, so I am confident that Designs Unlimited had to have seen it. Kay even let us see what they were talking about in a microscope. Designs Unlimited never mentioned anything about this to us. I have a feeling that had we let them, they would have tried to resize the ring and broken the gems. Nothing about our visit gave me any confidence in their abilities. Ultimately, we will be sending it back to the original jeweler to get the cracked stones fixed anyway, so I will be getting it resized then. However, my fiancé and I were so discouraged by Designs Unlimited and the lack of confidence we had in anything about them that we felt the need to post this.

I went to the store because I had received an email (see below) that they were having 30% off. It's about a 35 min drive for me. When I walked in a gentleman was the only person there. I asked him about the sale. He said it was only Pfaff machines and accessories. I pointed out the signs displayed and my email, and he just kept rereading it out-loud. Like he was trying to justify what he told me. Anyway, finally, he asked "well, what exactly did you want to purchase with the discount?" I had already told him notions, stabilizers, etc. Frankly, I felt offended by this question. As if I needed to beg him for each item. So I simply said, "nothing, thank you" and left. Meanwhile, I'm still getting emails, one today saying the sale ends tomorrow, and please post review to yelp, Facebook etc. So here is your review, sorry.

We had an external prescription, so my son did not have to get an eye exam. Today, we decided to get an eye exam since his prescription was close to expiring. Unfortunately, the experience was not ideal and, to say the least, not a positive experience. Dr. Wallace Guerrant's bedside manner left much to be desired. From the very beginning of the appointment, it was an awkward exchange of frustrations on his part. He was frustrated because some of the equipment was not suited for a smaller child and he kept requesting my son move a certain way or sit a certain way to accommodate the equipment instead of the equipment accommodating my son. He got extremely irritated because he was asking my son to look at a mirror behind him while he was shining a light in his eyes. You must know how to be patient with children because it can be easier to get confused. He lacked the patience that would be expected of a physician working with children. As a Mom, it was clear that his frustration were impacting my son and that is a NO GO, for me. After the unpleasant experience I chose not to schedule my eye exam with him. The other staff, like Karen, made the rest of the interaction much better. We won't ever utilize the optometrist for an exam ago.
