The taller heavy set man is generally friendly and have had no issues with. I went in today to have 2 watch batteries replaced and the shorter gentleman waited on me. He obviously was in a bad mood - exchanged no words just a sour look on his face - charged me $30 when in the past it was $20. Not only was it the price but it was his sour disposition. You think you would present a friendly congenial attitude toward you customers - not this guy. I almost told him to take the $30 and make a down payment on a personality. Baskets ,tables, displays, stacks.... it's not a wide store it's pretty narrow so really packing the place with stuff makes it feel more like a garage sale than a nice store. It's not too crowded until there are a lot of people in there then all the extra displays and stuff are annoying and claustrophobic. I will give them credit at this location they keep the sink nicely cleaned and stocked . They are also really good at never running out of testers or samples.

As per the name, most items have a more rustic/country/antiqued look to them. This isn't really my mom or my decorating style, but we still found items that we liked. They carry everything from curtains, lamps, wall art, pillows, quilts, decorative containers, candles, ornaments and more for home decor. There was also a large Vera Bradley section, as well as some other bags and accessories with a bit of a vintage/historical flair. Sure, bigger cities have bigger shops with more selection, but Chautauqua Comics offers everything a local (or visitor/tourist) might need from a comic shop... Plenty of appealing stuff in stock, pull lists, special orders, special events, gaming and whatnot. It's a tiny little shop and the staff keeps a lot of stuff on display. Once you learn the layout and where they keep the sort of stuff you're looking for, it'll prove itself a useful resource for comics, toys and card games.
