The machines accept credit cards which is nice but coins as well. I travel quite a bit and prefer to use laundromats to hotel Laundry machines. The process is faster. So I've seen plenty of good and bad and this place was pretty good. Clean, well kept and good value. Good place to do laundry.

My experience using Davenport for the past 2 years (2020-2022) has been: 1) they've lost some of my items, claimed they didn't lose them, I thought I was mistaken, then received a phone call several months later with my lost items (every other cleaners gives you a receipt with the number of items you dropped off, they do not) 2) the chemical has ruined about 4 expensive Jos A Banks shirts in the past year alone (that rarely happens in my previous 20 years of taking clothing to the cleaners) 3) the shirts come back with the collars sticking out and not pressed, so what are they doing if not cleaning and pressing?

My dryer is broken and I have been coming in for the past few weeks to dry only. There is a sign…read morethat says preference is given to those who both wash and dry. I understand that...that is fair. But each and every time I have gone in to use dryers there have never been more than 2 or 3 people using the laundromat, and always plenty of dryers to go around. Yesterday there was one woman who had just started her 2 loads, when I loaded 3 dryers. The attendant came and asked me how many dryers I was going to use because customers who were both washing and drying got to pick the dryers they wanted to use. Mind you, there was just the one other customer who was just starting her wash, and me in the place. I believe there are at least 18 dryers for use. So rude! A little power went straight to her head. I will never use their facilities again...ever!

Literally have to justify how many quarters you ask from her, plus it's so tight in the place that you must walk sideways half the time to get around. The machines are a little on the expensive side, too. Half the washers are front loaders and the other half are these antiquated machines that require tickets...another local oddity. Overall, it's a bit dirty,cluttered and hot. In Sioux City, it is a real challenge finding a quality laundromat, but Pierce Street is light years better than this place.

He specifically pointed out to the person working the counter that the pants would have to be dry cleaned. When he picked up his cleaning, they couldn't find my pants. After two weeks of them "looking" for them, they say, "Oh, you must not have brought them in,. Check your car" "Have her check her closet." This is BS. I bought the pants in August for over $70 and have only worn them once. And now they relinquish all responsibility because they have no "record" of them and it's not their fault. They never give out claim tickets for items dropped off so how would they know. Taking my dry cleaning elsewhere from now on.
