My family and I scrambled to quickly find a dentist in Louisville, Kentucky. Luckily, my daughter found Parkway Family dental and they had good reviews and they were nearby the location where we would be staying. I called the office from the airport and Michaela answered the phone, which was fortunate for me. She was professional, friendly, and she answered all my questions and got the ball rolling right away. They were able to immediately scheduled an appointment. Then, once I got to the office the next day, all of the staff were completely helpful and accommodating, even though I overslept and missed my appointment time - bad on me. One thing I've learned about the dental industry is that a lot of dentists will pay their hygienists a commission based salary. I find that to be pretty outrageous, honestly. It surely benefits the practitioners and not the patients in that regard. One of the reasons I chose to go to Tim Lawrence is because I was referred to him by a friend. My friend went to one of the more well-known dental groups in town that said he needed a root canal ($$$). He goes to Tim Lawrence for a second opinion, and Tim tells my buddy that he absolutely does not need a root canal. He can just fill it like a normal cavity, saving my friend massive amounts of green. I had a similar experience. I went to the same large dental group in town that pressured me to update my "outdated" crown. I go to Tim. He said my crown was fine. So, yeah. I'm over the snakes in the dental industry. I'm now a customer of Dr. Lawrence for life. Great, honest guy that does a good job.

They also answered all my questions and I was very confident in their skill and knowledge! It's hard to read the prior reviews . The dental plans recommended may not always be what you want to hear but is what's best for your dental health. I can appreciate transparency and honesty. I have been treated by both of the female dentists (Dr. Harris and Dr. Martin). They have always been patient with me, handled me with great care, and made the most stressful situations more comfortable for me and my anxiousness. The assistant, Delshay, done a great job on a complicated filling that I needed just a week ago. The male hygienist, Kenneth, always cleans my teeth and is awesome as well. I absolutely have no complaints! But if I did, I would express it at checkout before I left the office so things can be corrected. That's the only way a business can grow and do better. i went there on January 15 for crowns. They put 2 crowns on me that were done by an assistant that…read moreno matter how many times I told her they were too big she said it was normal. I couldn't even close my mouth Fully because of these cinderblocks. I Paid the office $1400 which was half of my bill. I was told it'll take 2 weeks for crowns. I called in that time frame and they told me that it is 4-6 weeks. Understood, everybody makes mistakes. That time passed and nobody called to tell me anything about my crowns. They kept contacting me about a stupid extraction that I didn't schedule. so I called and they tell me that they didn't order my crowns until January 30th. 15 days after my visit. I let it go because they said they will put a rush on my crowns. Shortly after that the temporary crowns they had put in my mouth fell off. obviously they were temporary. Then 12 weeks total pass and they still hadn't called. So I call and they said that they will put a rush on it and blah blah blah. I canceled the procedure and requested a refund which took longer than what they had said it would take. I don't know who manages this place but it is horrible. Everything about this was just horrible. 0 care for patients, 0 professionalism.

Two years ago, my plan failed and I had the worst pain my mouth I had ever felt. I found Dr. Ecken's office through my insurance and it was conveniently two miles from my house. I walked into the small waiting room and was met with the best dental experience of my life. This dentist is a straight shooter. She explained each part of the procedure we went through. Explained the x-rays to me, gave me details on problems, and had me in and out of the office in just under and hour. I come here for my regular teeth cleaning and I've always been brought back immediately for my appointment. Even after I move, I'll be coming back to this dentist.
