Our three youngest kids got in for free which was great because at 12 bucks a person, it really felt like a waste of money even for the two older kids who barely played golf. since the course is fenced in, we adults were able to play around each of the holes as our kids ran wild across the empty course. We did of course have to limit them, to keep them from climbing on top of the mini castle, etc. they were fascinated by the hole where when the golf ball doesn't make it to the other side of the stream, it gets sent down and out a log onto the bottom part of the course and they would carry the golf balls back up to the stream and drop them in just to see them roll out down below. There is street parking or a lot parking available. I do recall one year due to the Marlin tournament. Parking was difficult and we did park a few blocks away. Overall the walk was not bad and it was well worth it. I recommend bringing chairs or a blanket. If you plan to stay a while. On Sundays, they have a live band, ice cream for purchase, a playground, pond, and lots of open grass for family and friends to enjoy. Everyone's favorite part is the Sunday fireworks show. Nice location, walkable from many hotels, plus two full size 18 hole courses. That means that even when it's busy, it doesn't feel too crowded. The holes themselves were fun. Nothing too fancy or wild, but they did have some trick-shot greens, tunnels, and other slopes to keep you thinking. I even scored one hole in one! In the middle of the property is a big volcano. Probably twice an hour, it lights up, rumbles... but no worries. Nothing will erupt on you! Hot tip: Look for their coupon either in a local coupon book or on their social media page. They also match competitor coupons. We found a Buy 3, Get 1 Free deal, which was great for a family of four. Overall, this was a fun way to spend some time together without feeling like we were packed onto a mini golf course with everyone else. There are plenty of options in Ocean City, but Embers Island worked out ok for us. I might just try another next time.
