I took my son who had sustained a major hand injury to Dr. Alex Collins for a second opinion. During the visit, Dr. Collins asked if my son could make a fist with his hand, which he did. Dr. Collins's reply was something to the effect of "you are in good shape".
He never touched my son's hand, and quite frankly almost acted like he was afraid to. The other specialists we have gone to at least did strength tests, etc., but that was the extent of the assessment from Dr. Collins.
In my opinion, that is borderline malpractice with little concern for the patient. Would definitely not go back to see him again as his lack of interest makes him seem unqualified at best. read more
