Since the recent horrific damage from Hurricane Helene, the town of Chesnee, S.C. has been in pretty much of a mess. Afterwards, I stopped here in the hopes of finding some much needed food as we lost two freezer loads of various items. Amazingly, the first thing I encountered when approaching this store was a Food Lion tractor trailer unloading desperately anticipated supplies. Thank You Food Lion for tending to the immediate needs of these good folks! Back to yesterday. I absolutely love Carolina Pride thick sliced beef bologna. Almost impossible to find. Not only did they have plenty of it ; it was on sale! I'm beginning to change my mind about this grocery store chain! Again; Thank You for being there for the Chesnee, S.C. Community!

I spoke with a food-lion worker she said it happens. Like it's normal for them. Talk with the cashier about it he said I need to go talk next in command. Next day I talk with the manager Jason brought up the mess and the problem he said he will have the milk lady clean in the morning. This was 9:30pm 4/29/2026 there was no attempt on doing something right away to get the place sanitized. I understand that I was not heard and nothing was done to fix the unsanitary problem.

This is THE WORST venue for an event on the planet. Not that the place isn't beautiful. BUT, it is…read morepoorly maintained and managed. The owner, Ren, only concern is if SHE is happy with how the event is going. NO WATER for guests. If you hire her bar tending services, don even think about asking for water. No water served on the tables. Also, the bridal suite is DISGUSTINGLY DIRTY. My niece (the bride) sat on the sofa in the bridal cabin while getting ready, and her wedding dress got stained with some brown whatever. The hooks to hang dresses leave ANY dress dragging in the floor, and the floor is dirty as it can be. Literally wiped up spilled water and the paper towel was black. Not garbage cans for people to throw their plates, cups, etc., away... and don't think anyone is clearing your tables. They came at the end of the party to clear the tables, the guest had to sit with dirty plates, cups, silverware, etc. the entire party. Also, NO PLACE for any caterer to properly function. Just one tiny sink and a 5 ft ledge that was about 12" deep for them to work on. The area where the "outdoor," reception is, is full of wholes when you walk. Also, the electricity out there is rigged with a bunch of extension cords for you and your guests to maneuver around! And if you bring supplies for other items they don't offer and you had to bring in, they will use YOUR supplies, instead of what THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO PROVIDE. Did I mention NO WATER ANYWHERE. And if you bring it, REN won't let you have it at the bar. She prefers to use the sink to fill each cup in front of your guest, rather than out of a pitcher. TRUST ME, I bought pitchers AND water, and she wouldn't serve it! WATER!! She's lazy, half ass and disgustingly rude to her clients. Again, she said she was happy how things are running, regardless of the client who paid happiness. Also, bud your own tables cause she ain't doing it. I am a caterer, I know how hospitality goes. This place is awful. I wouldn't have an event there, even if it was 100% for free! No thanks. It's a dive. Had to give it one star, just to submit the review. If I could, I would give it NEGATIVE STARS. Ps. She threatened to have me removed from my nieces party, because I brought water to the bar. And she stalked and harassed me about it during the reception. Disgusting.
