We had a pitcher of beautifully cold beer at her suggestion, and ordered a Chicago tavern-style Works (supreme) pizza. It was a tough choice, as this place offers New York, Detroit, Chicago, and California pizzas. The pizza was really good and well-topped. It wasn't as cracker thin as the tavern pizzas from Chicago, but thin enough. It was also a little greasy for a tavern pizza, maybe due to the spicy garlic sausage on it. The sausage, though, was delicious and unique. We watched a lot of food come out of the kitchen and it all looked tasty. Some of the others at the bar who had ordered Detroit pizzas were raving about how good they were. The vibe in here was not too crazy, despite it being a Bricktown Saturday night. Absolutely would come back.

The Focaccia appetizer was amazing. My wife got the Ragusa and absolutely loved it. I decided to try something different - a meatball pizza with Sicilian Hot Honey. It had just a little zing and a great flavor. We finished off the evening with the Raspberry Coulis cheesecake, also to die for. I'm typically skeptical of new places, so hopefully the praise I have for this new adventure comes through. It really was a great date night surprise with the wife. Oh, and Tim still sucks!

Started with the Sauce and Balls - 3 Nonna Meatballs $9- nice presentation, but meatballs were not tender & only a meat flavor came through, sauce tasted like their pizza sauce. The "Tusa" Neapolitan Pizza- Delicious light airy crust with a bit of that great chew, but really skimped on Nonna's sausage, just a few crumbles. Our upbeat server, Savannah, very friendly and informative. I want to go back to The Saucee Sicilian and try the Italian Stracciatella and the Capizzi Neapolitan Pizza, both sound amazing!

The pizza was the roasted chicken & OH-EM-GEE!!! The flavors! THE FLAVORS were out of this world. It was too much for lunch so I had leftovers for dinner. The only downfall (for me) is the open atmosphere so convos were distracting when I was trying to hear others at my table when they were speaking. But that's a ME thing, not a them thing. It is beautiful inside and not overly done with "grandma's pizzeria" vibes but more trendy, upscale modern.

I ordered the Federal Hill pizza, while my wife had the White Top pizza since she doesn't eat meat (I married a weird one, I know). I'd probably rate the pizza about an 7.5 or 8/10. If they used a bit more cheese, that would elevate the pizza a bit more. Not the best Detroit pizza in the greater OKC metro but top 3 for sure.

There was a new waitress helping us, and instead of showing her patience or actually training her, the manager was rude to her right in front of us. We gave the waitress our drink orders and were getting ready to order our food when the manager literally butted in and snapped, "Let her get the drinks first!" The tone was completely unnecessary and unbelievably unprofessional. And honestly, the way she spoke to the waitress was almost worse than how she spoke to us. If you have a new employee, maybe try teaching them instead of embarrassing them in front of customers. There was absolutely no reason to speak to her like that. The whole interaction was uncomfortable, and the manager's attitude made it very clear that customer service is apparently not a priority here. You can have a nice-looking restaurant, but none of that matters when the person running it makes customers feel unwelcome and treats employees disrespectfully. I genuinely don't understand how someone with that kind of attitude is managing a restaurant. Joey's has some serious work to do when it comes to professionalism and basic customer service. We came in expecting a good experience and left wondering why we bothered.
