At first glance, I noticed the "rabbit poop" sausage nuggets and an undercooked "white" cheese. Then, I picked up an almost cold slice of pie for a bite and was so completely underwhelmed by a lack of flavor. It's literally "bland"! Almost no flavor at all! My first thought? Though open late, and they make their own pizza dough, their pizza was a let down. It just tastes cheap and low flavor. They use rubber mozzarella and way too much of it. Two in our group nearly choked on it. The toppings aren't quality, and lately very sparse compared to the thick layer of mozz. Old photos look different than the pizzas we received. Crust is also thick and too bready. Plus it takes a long time to get food. The "Margarita" pizza as they call it was worst of the bunch, with no fresh mozz, no fresh basil, just an endless slab of cheese and a few thin slices of watery tomato (that looked from a bag) UNDER the cheese. This made the tomato nuclear to the touch and guaranteed to burn your mouth. Their "Mediterraneo" was a little better but flavor was mostly black olives. A 14" large specialty pizza was $16-17. I added a star back because the owners and workers running this place are the best of people, very friendly folks. Plus the small-ish dining room is clean and renovated which was surprising considering how ugly it looks outside. Though the vast majority of customers choose takeout or delivery. We did a phone order to b delivered to our motel room at about 2145. Called at 2148 to confirm they received our order & to get a soda option. At 2219 We called to check on our order. They told Us the delivery driver was there picking up our order. Driver was picked by Pizza Zone thru Door Dash. He sent Us a msg via the Door Dash app at 1038 saying he was on his way over with our order. Now that is only 8 miles away from our motel, which Google maps says is either 12 mins or 16 mins away! At 2306, we msgd the driver asking where he was, as he should have been here delivering our food! Instead, he msgd that he was at Whataburger... At 2309 he msgd that food was dropped in front of the motel door... What a crock of crap... He did not msg Us saying he was here... Nor did he knock on the door to let Us kno he was at our door w/our food... Totally unacceptable... Call to Door Dash to complain, but they said order was done directly thru Pizza Zone, so We would have to call them for refund. Called Pizza Zone at 2324, but They were complete assholes, totally rude & unfriendly, did not care that our food was delivered late or cold or not what We ordered... Told Us they do not kno why We just don't eat our food, it's not that big of a deal?!? Really...Unbelievable... We then call back to Pizza Zone to talk to the manager about the refund of the order, but he was a worse asshole than the first employee We talked to... Very Rude, Disrespectful & Unprofessional...Told Us no refund, driver says he delivered the food. We stated that it took him almost an hour to deliver, food was clod, fries r soggy, not well dun & not as stated on menu!! Manager said food was plenty hot when cooked in store, can't control it not bein hot when delivered!! Told Us if We wanted it hot, then We should have picked it up ourselves instead of asking for it to b delivered...?!? He acted as if We need to call Door Dash, which We informed him they told Us We did not order thru Door Dash, so we would need to call Pizza Zone concerning our order & any issues with it! I've had my yelp account for 6 years and I use it, but I have never had to leave a review before now. I'm actually creeped out. If I was able to give no stars I absolutely would. I called and ordered dinner. Before I could pick up my dinner I was in a car wreck. I am also 8 1/2 pregnant so calling them and cancelling my order was not at all on my priorty list. While at the hospital, I received a call from an unknown number and I didn't answer. But when the second call came in, I googled the number and saw that it was indeed this store but not the number they have listed, so it must be someone's personal phone. Since, again it wasn't my priority, I did not pick up and actually placed my phone on dnd while I and my baby were being monitored. The next time I checked my phone, I had mutiple missed calls up until 12:16 am. I placed a food order at 7:24 pm. In what business practice does it tell you to call a customer 8 times well into midnight for a $17 order that wasn't picked up? Sorry you guys made the food and it's never my intention to waste food. My plan was actually to send my husband in to pay for the wasted food as well as a tip until I realized no, that isn't how you conduct business! Sometimes a loss is a loss and this is pretty ridiculous way of shaming/harassing a customer. I ordered the basic gyros basket per my friend's suggestion, and was glad I did. The pita bread was soft and warm, and both the meat inside and the yogurt sauce atop were simply perfect together. My order came out quickly. It featured French fries and a canned soda, and all for the princely sum of $6.99 plus tax. (Not bad at all for a quickie lunch!) Don't expect ambience, no. (It's clean and attractive inside, but anything but fancy-schmancy. A lot of this place's business is tied up in pizza delivery, and I'm not sure how much walk-in business it sees.) Pizza Zone is my favorite late-night, last-minute pizza-gyro-salad place. I've used Yelp for delivery and I've called in several times. They usually arrive early and the staff is cordial. The actual restaurant seems cleanish compared to some other local pizza places, and they make renovations often to try to improve. Overall my experiences have been positive and I enjoy most of the food. Skip the onion rings, jalapeno poppers, the obv frozen stuff. Instead have a gyro with a garden salad or a pizza well done. I have ordered from here several times through the BeyondMenu app. The food always arrives quick and hot. I honestly don't know how they even have time to cook it and deliver it so fast. I have always received the correct order. I have ordered a lot of things and so far have liked everything. Pizza, pasta, sandwiches, gyros, salads... it's all good. My favorites are the pizza and pastas. The kids like the shrimp, fries and burgers. I haven't tried the Mexican food yet but some of my coworkers have and they liked it. Not horrible but not the best. Service and staff was up to par. Everyone was nice and had good attitudes. Quality of food was really poor. The pizza had toppings that were not very fresh and were probably flash frozen. I prefer digiorno or tombstone from the grocery store to this pizza. We also ordered the chicken nuggets. This place uses the frozen nuggets you buy from the grocery store. If you are desperate, staying at a hotel and do not know the area this place will fill you up. Super disappointed in this place. I ordered a pizza (which was actually pretty tasty) and mushroom ravioli off of postmates. Ate about 1/3 of the ravioli and realized it tasted strange. Friend tasted it and we came to the conclusion that it was actually lobster ravioli. I am allergic to most shellfish and started to have a reaction shortly after our realization. I called the restaurant to complain and the person on the phone (not sure if manager or not) told me "the postmates delivery person probably switched some orders so you can call postmates and complain to them". The food is good most of the time and there is a variety of menu options. They also stay open late, which is convenient. The major issue with this restaurant is the lack of customer service. Whenever I place an order, the gentleman taking my order is always very short with me. He is rude, and speaks as if he is trying to rush me off the phone. They've never made any efforts to rectify any issues that I've had in the past, but are rather dismissive and apathetic. There is no courtesy for the customer. They do not treat their customers as if they value them at all. They should really evaluate the way they run their business. read more

Wish I could give negative 100 stars.... I ordered a thin crust pizza, and a turkey sandwich. I was delivered a gyro and a thick crust pizza for 18.25.... I called and told the owner about the mistake, and he said he messed up my sandwich order and would send a new one, but since he didn't hear me say thin crust, he wouldn't replace it. He drove to my house and gave me my 18.25 back, but wouldn't give me the 4 dollar tip I have the driver... He said "that's not his business".... I have been a loyal customer to this place for years, but no longer. I will be reporting this to the BBB, and never order here again. The owner can go 'F' himself.
