Would give Pickleball Xscape a 0/5 if possible. Our experience with Pickleball Xscape has been less than desirable. First off, my husband had a really difficult time calling in just to book a reservation as we wanted a court to ourselves. There is no option to book or make reservations online. He had to call multiple times just to get a hold of someone to book a court. He was finally able to book through texting. Husband had Zelle Pickleball Xscape $100 to hold a court for 2 hours on Sunday 9/20 from 4-6pm (refer to the photo of his text below). Pickleball Xscape confirmed they received our payment for that exact date via text so we were set for our game. About an hour before we had arrived, my husband had texted Pickleball Xscape again to state how excited we are to be there and if we can just get a corner court. We never heard back, which we just figured they're busy and didn't get the chance to respond. Once we had arrived, husband checked in with the front desk. When my husband tried to confirm our reservation with the young lady at the front desk, she seem to have realized they had made the mistake of booking the wrong date as they booked us for Saturday 9/19 even though they had confirmed with us via text for Sunday 9/20. Instead of rebooking us or issuing a refund, they INSIST that we use their open courts and play from 4pm until 11pm to make the most of the money we paid.. we were taken aback by this DUMBA** logic. My husband asked to speak to her manager so he can sort out this mishap and get a refund. However, the young lady made it really difficult to even reach out to her manager but eventually agreed to pass our information along. At this point, my husband was frustrated with the young lady's lack of help and just wanted a refund. My husband waited 24 hours to hear back from the management of Pickleball Xscape regarding a refund which they had eventually responded. They told him that the refund will take up to 3-5 business days which is absurd as it is a Zelle payment.. He did eventually get his refund back but this experience left such a bad taste in our mouths. The lack of accountability, the cluelessness of the staff and Pickleball Xscape's unprofessionalism has left us disappointed. read more

I originally gave PBX 5 stars about 11 months ago, shortly after I started playing pickleball. I genuinely loved the experience, the welcoming community & the people I met there. I even encouraged others to join bc I believed in what PBX offered. After becoming a member & spending 5-6 days a week over the following 10 months, my experience unfortunately changed. The community is still what makes PBX special. I made many wonderful friends & that was the MAIN reason I stayed. Another challenge is the wait time for games. Depending on how busy it is, the wait between games can be 30-60 minutes. On busy days, I sometimes spent 6-7 hours at PBX just to get 12-15 games in. The social community made the wait more tolerable, but for someone looking primarily for court time, the long waits are definitely something to consider. Unfortunately, the condition of the facility also became increasingly difficult to overlook. My biggest concern was the condition of the courts. There are patched areas, uneven spots, and noticeable humps that affect the playing surface. During my last 6 months there, I witnessed several falls & injuries. I also saw newer senior players on courts with uneven areas and felt it was important to make them aware so they could be careful. When I raised a concern about court safety, one of the owners suggested that the incidents could be related to players' shoes. But I told them I had personally witnessed a player fall during a game & we stopped playing to make sure she was okay. My intention was simply to look out for fellow players. The lack of AC also became a significant issue during this brutal Summer. During the recent heat wave, the facility became extremely hot and stuffy, with only a few fans. Many members were regularly discussing the heat and looking for cooler places to play. The bathrooms also need better cleaning and maintenance. I am no longer a member & was disappointed with how the end of my membership was communicated. After being such an active and supportive part of the community for many months, I had hoped for a more respectful and direct conversation. I don't regret the friendships & memories I made at PBX. Those were genuinely the best parts of my experience. I hope PBX invests in court maintenance, AC & cleanliness. The community deserves a comfortable, safe, and well-maintained place to play. read more

An amazing facility to get back to back pickleball games. When it's raining, you're tired of long queue times, looking for a place with a clean bathrooms, reserved/open play courts, & more level structured play, this is definitely a great place to visit! Have come here for reserved courts with friends a few times & loved my experiences each time, especially being able to play with friends specifically & get back to back games that you can't get with recreational play at a park sometimes. I played here for a team event recently and while it was spacious, I wasn't a fan of the setup as the walkways were super narrow and it was difficult to navigate around the courts. Also, the courts had no dividers between them so lots of "ball on" moments during competitive matches. Court surface doesn't seem that great compared to other indoor facilities. Also, there are no enough seating areas and I found myself having to scour places to sit (it was a long day and I was there for 5+ hours!) However, staff is super friendly and welcoming so you will get great customer service. If you're in the area, check out this place to get some games in but know that the setup may make your games more challenging to play since there's no separation between the courts. read more

I think all the outside heat and the body heat all get trapped in, even though large fans are running and garage doors are open for ventilation. I hope they use A/C for hot days, though that may be costly... - Because of the intense indoor heat, I was downing lots of fluids, bottle after bottle. My wallet wasn't happy, but gotta do what I gotta do to keep my game up. B-) + They also have a separate room for kids to safely play while their parents pickle each other. . Free cold water may or may not be available inside this facility. Ask the staff. - Only one restroom. - Only two courts are open-play. Almost all the rest are prioritized for reservation. . Many of the people on the open-play courts are beginners. + But thankfully the day we went there were not many open-players, so we only had to wait a good ~10 min for our next game. 4 on 4 off. + Ample parking, front and rear. + Conveniently located right off the 405. I just so happen to be in town and was invited to a bday party for a good friend. PB Xscape IS A VIBE!!! The courts are clean, the staff are friendly and welcoming. I almost feel like the staff are family members because they seem to care about their customers as if they owned the place and that is awesome! The players are nice and cordial as well. The competition is fair and challenging for every skill and age level. If you are in the Westminster area or nearby, I would highly recommend playing here. Very Disappointing Experience with the Owner and Poor Facility Management We have been playing at this court for almost two months, and today we had the worst experience ever with the owner. We will never come back again. We always follow the rules and check in before entering. Sometimes the gate is closed, sometimes it's open. My husband and I usually come together. Today, we entered at the same time, and I stayed at the front desk to check in for both of us. While I was spelling my name for the staff (because they couldn't spell it correctly), my husband slightly opened the gate just to see which court our friends were on. He did not go past the front desk area -- he was just waiting for me to finish checking in. At that moment, the owner saw him open the door and very rudely told him to stop. My husband politely explained that he knew the rules and was only waiting at the door. The owner was very unfriendly and acted as if we were breaking a serious rule. Even after I finished checking in properly, my husband asked, "Can I go in now?" and the owner didn't even respond. Later, when we were about to enter the court, the owner called our friend (who pays for the membership) and said that if we showed this kind of "attitude," we wouldn't be allowed to play there anymore. We were shocked by how rude and disrespectful he was, especially to returning customers who have played here many times. We decided to leave immediately. Another major inconvenience is the court setup itself. There are no nets separating each court, so balls constantly roll over from one court to another, and players have to stop and pick them up. It's very distracting and unsafe. On top of that, even after paying for a court, staff have asked us to move to another court in the middle of a game just to "save electricity" when other players have left. That is extremely unprofessional. Overall, it was a very unpleasant and disappointing experience. We believe that customers deserve to be treated with respect and that a paid facility should be managed more professionally than this. read more

I never thought I'd pay this much for a pickleball membership, but somehow I subscribed on my very first visit to this spot and I have zero regrets. I've been coming consistently for about three weeks now and I'm genuinely impressed with the facility and the outstanding staff. The employees here are incredibly friendly and truly care about the members; it doesn't feel like just a business chasing revenue. They genuinely invest in our experience and keeping everything pristine. There's constantly staff cleaning everywhere, from the outside areas to the courts and bathrooms, and I've even seen them meticulously spraying down the handrails. My entire party of 6+ people came into Pickleball Xscape intending to do open play. When our party which entered in groups of two came, I personally was the first to arrive. We were greeted then asked if we were there for open play or reserve. Never were we told of a scheduled event not even 2 hours after we payed our entrance fee of $20 and purchased a $200+ Paddle. The staff is in-attentive and forgot to tell us having us instead find out through WORD OF MOUTH. When we asked for a refund the staff who helped us was contacted and said she'd told us. OF COURSE SHE WOULD SHE WOULD'VE GOTTEN IN TROUBLE. We were offered 1/2 Credit of our $300+ expenditure and given harsh pushback. Thanks for taking down my previous review because I openly shamed their business, ideology, and overall scumminess. Updates on my Review: my entire party including myself have been permanently banned from Pickleball Xscape due to this one star review which we left. After you leave a one star review don't even think about coming back for redemption because the only thing awaiting you is extremely passive aggression service and a ban in the back pocket. These workers only view you as a number and not a person, you're just the next person they'll power trip on if you don't conform and call them out. Whilst coming back we were confronted for our one-star review and asked "Will you change it." There was no change nor shift in THEIR attitude towards our party when we'd never been aggressive with the front staff aside from defending ourselves. We do have connections with a couple of staff which is how we found out they planned to kick us off the premises even after we'd payed our full $20 (this is a separate incident from the first) then subsequently banned on our third visit. I'm so glad this place opened near my house. This is the largest indoor pickleball court I've ever been to. It is such a family friendly place. They have claw machines and a party room that you can rent out. I'm definitely gonna be throwing my next birthday party here. Love all the facilities this place includes.
