(March) When the repair person came to install he noticed that some strips that seal the window on the inside were wavy. He took one and said they would order. I have called 4 times and nothing..this last time I spoke to Penny. During the conversation she was amazingly rude and unprofessional. She did give me the owners name Guy England and told me he would say that they did their job and that's it! And all calls went through her and the company was too busy to even call me. All I wanted was clarification....she was telling me that the part was outside when it was definitely on the inside of my window. They were too busy to even send someone out to look or call. The friendliness of the staff fluctuates on a day to day basis, and the machines are usually broken. The interior is dingy at best, even for a laundry-mat. I've put up with the unsatisfactory conditions for so long because of how close it is to my home. Usually when the machines break down or quarters get stuck the staff will reluctantly give you a refund. However, today one of my quarters had gotten stuck in the dryer. After the owner started the dryer, both the owner and attendee insisted that I refund the owner for the additional quarter he had to insert to push my quarter through. I understand that they both suspected that I had not inserted the correct change, and I attempted to explain to them multiple times what had happened. The amount of the quarter itself is negligible. It's the attitude the owner and attendee have towards their customer that is unacceptable. Especially as they continued to gripe amongst themselves about the ordeal with me in earshot. As Someone who has managed businesses and worked in customer service for years. I would never have caused such an ill experience for a customer over a measly quarter. I don't understand how and why business owners in this town think that they can get away with treating their customers like garbage. This is far from the first time I've experienced terrible customer service in Paris. I'm more than willing to drive the extra mile and a half from now on to the laundry-mat down the road.
