This was my first time playing pickleball indoors and my oh my! I'm glad I got to do it at this establishment. The space is sleek. It's the equinox of indoor pickleball. It was very thought out. Right when you walk in, there is a check in table right by the bar/café area! Hello what? Quench my thirst while I wait to play? Sure! There are 3 courts, and one private court. Small but organized and clean. Wanna catch up with friends or rest after playing? Make yourself cozy in the lounge. There are tons on amenities and I have to say it again, the space is beautifully crafted. A tad pricey but you'll understand why once you visit. Great space, great service. read more

Wow this pickleball facility is probably the nicest one I've been to. I like it more than, dare I say, the Hub?! My friend is a member and reserved a court to play (they get court res credits monthly). In addition to the 4 courts in the main area + 1 exhibition court, they also have a small fitness studio, sauna, lounge area, and a kitchen/wine bar. The exhibition court can get warm since it has huge windows letting in light but the main court area has fans and they can open the large docking door to increase airflow. You can tell they put a lot of thought into the details e.g. cushioned courts, netting between bar area and court 1, fencing between courts, phone holder at the end of courts to record sessions, cubbies behind each court to hold your gear. Decor is also so cute, especially in the lounge and bar areas! Would be a great place not just to play pickleball but also to hangout. Great location -- a couple min walk from MacArthur BART station and several blocks from some of my fav restaurants in Oakland. I love that they have a parking lot too! 10/10 would recommend, I'd go back even though it's a 30+ min drive from where I live haha. read more

We had to make it to the grand opening for Pickle Athletics after waiting months for it to open. We played on a Sunday and the queues weren't long thankfully. The interior is gorgeous and modern with a vibrant green. They have quite a bit of seating, an infrared sauna and a small gym with top tier exercise equipment. They have a wide selection of drinks, snacks and food while you pickle too ~ read more

My job had our Xmas party here & it was my very 1st time trying pickle ball. I had a lot of fun. This space is beautiful. They have a nice parking lot - multiple courts that you can reserve plus the have open play. We didn't rent the entire facility so other people were there enjoying games. We had them cater for us too. The workers were so nice. Katie the owner was great - we had her put on the game for us (TNF) These are all indoor courts. They also have a small fitness center too. If you enjoy pickleball give this place a chance - especially in the winter you'll enjoy being indoors. Thank you for hosting our Xmas party - we all had a blast. Great landing spot ... for just about everything! More than Pickleball ... we came out on Friday for a Valkyries Watch Party, and the vibe is fantastic. Hip meets sports bar meets lounge. Has 2 large TV's and one above the "bar". It's predominantly a smoothie bar (high elevation for the Dropshot it was a fan favorite among the 20 or so who were there to watch the game). They also serve wine n' beer. They have a few food options but I only had the panini sandwich, which was excellent ... the hosts are very gracious and accommodating, and went out of their way to make this a fan favorite go to spot! I highly recommend this place (though I hesitate to say this too loudly), I am sure after this it'll draw (and I just wanna make sure that I get a seat) read more

I went to Pickle to kill some time and check the space out. To start, they have parking. I expect it fills up at peak times, based on when I left. But there was plenty when I arrived. I was greeted when I walked in, then I went and parked myself. They left me to myself for the next 1.5 hours. I got to people watch, including a class. I checked out the menu. I listened to some hip hop. I got to catch the vibe. It's relaxed. The space is well appointed. The staff and other patrons seem chill. My only quibble is it was a bit chilly because they keep the huge roll-up door on one side of the courts open. I will definitely go back to try a class or maybe use the sauna. I didn't explore the lockeroom, but I bet it's nice. Pickle is woman owned and LGBTQ friendly. It's also community oriented. They donated to the auction at my friend's kid's elementary school, even though they are less than a year old. Highly recommended. They are a 4.5 out of 5 and trending up. Will reevaluate after I take a class. read more

About 10 of us carpooled over from Muirwoods Community park in Pleasanton, where we were playing since 2pm. (Yes, we are "Diehard Pickle players!)We wanted to check out this place (opened for 2 weeks), cuz they had a $10 special!! Perfect!!.... 3 Indoor courts in the front with a "showcase" court in the back. (Formerly a Mercedes Benz dealership) Friendly receptionist who checked us in, signed a waiver online and we paid via QR code. Also, ate their very limited menu, via QR code too! Christina, the chef & server was very friendly, who told us the history of this new establishment!! Beautiful ambiance here with living rooms to chat, drink, and relax. Even a Sauna that costs extra, but would be great after playing pickleball! Wishing this place must success and hope to return soon! read more

This place is heaven! We visited from SoCal this weekend for Super Bowl and played pickleball with our kiddos and had breakfast. Been waiting for Pickle Athletics to open since I discovered it took over the old Import Motors building in Oakland. This place is amazing! I've become addicted to Pickle Ball since taking it up a few months back, and this is exactly what I'm looking for. Four beautiful indoor courts, great lighting, a cafe (not sure I like the menu options just yet), a workout space, sauna, and some really nice areas just to relax between games. What an excellent space for Oakland. I wish them nothing but success. We need to get the word out and build a community here; it's really an impressive venue. Wow, what a beautiful indoor pickleball and athletics facility! I guess it would be more accurate to call it a sporting social club because it's a lot more than just pickleball. They have a small gym, a super nice kitchen/bar with great food, games, and even live music on weekends. This is the ultimate location for a corporate event, whether it's a company party or to host clients. What a super fun option right here in Oakland! Four really nice slightly cushioned courts, unlike the asphalt surfaces we are used to outside. Well lit and well maintained, with the extra bonus of food and drink being offered, plus bathrooms. Great music playing in the background, my friends and I sometimes found ourselves dancing between shots. Members have access to a terrific work out space, with a state of the art treadmill, rowing machine and Peloton, as well as weights, kettle bells, foam rollers and other equipment, oh and did I mention there's a sauna AND a shower? Rumor has it that in January they will be adding some Yoga & Pilates for Pickleball. Something this old broad definitely needs. Even if you don't play pickleball, it's a really nice place to hang.
