Wish I knew about this yarn store earlier! Service is great and the staff are super knowledgeable to help with quick project questions! There's also a nice section of tables and chairs by the window to just sit and do some knitting + socializing with other people working on their WIPs. I called the store in advance to help set aside some yarn (so I could just pay right at the counter) and they were super accommodating since I was looking to get a ton of yarn, too. Overall, the yarns at the store are of great quality and price, and the selection covers nearly all types of yarn for all sorts of projects. I will definitely make this my local yarn stores for my future projects, and they carry one of my favorite yarn brands like Knitting for Olive! Heads up: one of the staff said that they rotate yarn fibers seasonally so you're going to see more selections of wool/heavier yarns in the fall and winter, and lighter yarns like cotton in the spring and summer. read more

What an awesome local spot! Pick Up Every Stitch became my second home during COVID-19, when I decided to pick up knitting again. I learned from my mom when I was about 8 years old but got back into it during the pandemic, eventually making a dozen hats, scarves, and even a cute cardigan! Pick Up Every Stitch is perfect for knitters and crocheters of all levels, ages, and abilities. They have all the supplies you could ever dream of, and I love how there are always people in the store working on their projects. The store has created an incredible community of crafty people who share a love for knitting and crocheting, and I have met wonderful people there! They've got plenty of parking in the back and local street parking in the nearby area. I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area and looking for a new craft! read more

I visited this shop for the first time recently when in the area. It is located on the second floor of the building, with the entrance around the back. Once you get inside, it is bright and well-organized with a really nice selection of modern yarn options. They had Moondrake, Malabrigo, Camellia Fiber Company, etc. There was a meet and greet happening with a yarn dyer when I stopped in, which was nice to experience. I first visited in March 2020 to learn knitting and returned yesterday to learn granny squares crochet . Great customer service, kind, and patient instructors. They expanded within the past couple of years so the space is even more sunlit and beautiful. Highly recommend! They also sell gorgeous yarns and cute accessories etc. Would love to go back soon ! read more

This was a pleasant last minute adventure. Who knew we would find this little gem (not so little) yarn store. First is large, very clean, organized and well displayed. They have a large selection of high end yarn, notions, tote bags and more. One side of the store has two large tables for people to knit and they offer private lesson for the time being. The owner Felicia and her team are very friendly and knowledgeable, not to mention great customer service. I love their sample displayed. Not only does it motivate you, but you get to feel and see finish project. This way way you get an idea how your project will feel. This place is a must for all yarn lovers out there and anyone who is a beginner as well. Make sure to park behind building as they are located in the back. This yarn store offers so much for knitters/crocheters of all levels. The yarn selection is fabulous with all price points covered. There are samples throughout the store for inspiration and the staff have so many ideas to help you decide on your projects. I took a set of 3 lessons to get me started as I was new to knitting and I was so glad I did as Rae pushed me to learn lots of techniques and I was doing cables by the end of the 3rd class. The drop in sessions they offer are a great way to get support with your project from a teacher within a group setting and it's fun to see all the other projects going on. Apart from the obvious - knitting needles, crochet hooks, stitch markers the store carries a fabulous array of buttons, pins, shawl cuffs and more to finish off any project. Stylish bags of all sizes, project kits, jewellery... the list goes on but ultimately this place offers a warm welcome and encouragement to all. The owners are so friendly, helpful, and encouraging. They have a terrific selection of yarn and yarn accessories, and also run some very fun KAL's. The slipper KAL is my favorite (so far!) I know it's been said before, but this shop is truly my home away from home. The yarn selection is fantastic and the owners are friendly - everyone is greeted by name and even though I live in California, I've gained many friends from sitting and knitting around one of the two tables set out for just such use. I wish I could say something positive, but the store owner made that impossible. I came in needing help with a project that took 5 minutes. I was told that it would cost me money since the yarn was not purchased there. I explained I already had a gift certificate, so money had been spent, but was then informed I needed to make an appointment for assistance. The store was empty. So happy Felicia decided to open this shop in Mt Kisco! While I've been a knitter for decades I was always reluctant to knit garments. Not a problem since the level of support that this shop gives its customers is amazing. Nice little yarn shop. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good selection of interesting yearns. But I want to suggest 2 things: firstly, it would be nice if they allowed you to come for the social knitting even if you're not using one of their yarns - you could pay like $5.00 to participate; secondly, their rates for classes, tutoring are expensive. If they lowered them, or had a special, for example, on certain days with discounted rates, it would be a much friendlier place. read more
