I have seen Yelp rate Barrie Flowers "One of the top 10 flower shops in Barrie"...I'd say THE top…read more I've had multiple occasions to use Barrie Flowers, all from afar (I live in Vancouver and sending to family in Barrie) and being that I can't actually visit the shop, I have to trust the arrangements will be good. After years of trial and error and never being truly happy with other shops, I came across Barrie Flowers and my family's feedback on the first was 'gorgeous..you can't believe how gorgeous these are." That sealed the deal and they have since followed through with continued stunning arrangements (I always choose th the florist's choice option, allowing them to be creative and use the freshest flower available). I also LOVE that this is a small, owner-operated shop and not an impersonal corporate giant like you know who (hint: Starts with F, middle initial T, and last initial D).

We had visited two other flower shops in Barrie but they couldn't provide us with the colour flower we needed. We went to Ann and she said not to worry she could do it. Well do it she did and beautifully! Fuschia was the colour of flower we were in desperate need of and she provided. My mother always wore pink fuschia lipstick and accessories and we really wanted her floral arrangement to incorporate that colour as the main focus. I came to Ann with some photos of arrangements I had found online and she took the photos and put her own spin on them while keeping with the overall idea. I am so so thankful for the wonderful arrangements at fair prices Ann provided. There is a slight charge for delivery but it is very reasonable. I live in Toronto but if I have the chance I will use her for my floral needs again! Thank you Ann.

Possibly the worst florist I have ever dealt with. Rude staff and complete garbage flowers. Do not…read moretrust these people with your special occasions :( I was charged over $100 for one dozen roses, which were delivered to my sister jammed in a cheap vase (my dog could have done a nicer job arranging them) with no greenery, no wrap, nothing. These lasted less than 3 days before the heads turned brown without opening, tipped over and died. They were delivered at 7:30pm on a Friday and were dead by Sunday afternoon. On the Friday, they called my sister to arrange delivery. She told them she would be home by 1pm and the delivery was not made until after 7:30pm that night. We assume the roses sat in the delivery vehicle, unwrapped and jammed in their crappy vase, and froze. When my sister called the florist to let them know what had happened and ask about replacement, she was informed there wasn't anything they could do--that my sister must have mishandled the roses and caused them to die. The owner of the shop then suggested my sister bring the flowers all the way over to their shop across town, so they could evaluate them and "perhaps" offer her a small arrangement as a replacement. At this point my sister called me, and I called the shop to complain. I let them know that she would NOT be taking her own time to correct their mistake and receive what was owed, and asked that they pick up the flowers and deliver a replacement. Any florist I've ever dealt with has handled quality issues in this way--but not Chasing Petals. Monica was rude to me and gave me a lot of attitude, and said the owner would need to call me back because there was nothing she could do. I insisted on a call back before they closed--seeing as how it is now Wednesday and we'd been calling them since Monday, and they kept stating that the flowers were 4 days old, 5 days old, etc and playing out the time by not doing anything--but of course I heard nothing from them further. I have since spoken to VISA and initiated a chargeback for a full refund. I have never been ripped off by a florist in this way, and would highly recommend you avoid. NOTE: They also have a shop called 'Flowers and Pineworld' in Barrie--same company, same (poor) service and product.
