Anema E Core Pizzeria - A metre of pizza!

Anema E Core is a little restaurant (there is only two tables inside opposite their massive coffee machine and their indoor wood fired pizza oven, the rest of the tables are outside and with the weather being rainy they were not set up yet. We ordered the 4 Formaggi (Gorgonzola, Smoked buffalo Mozzarella, fiordilatte, Shaved Parmesan, basil, olive oil) Crudo E Rucola ( Rocket, prosciutto, shaved Parmesan, basil, olive oil) and for dessert the Nutella pizza all for takeaway. The base is ridiculously soft! I am in heaven. Nom nom nom I love this place! Staff are friendly and the chefs have a think Italian accent which adds to the authenticity of this tiny restaurant. We have booked to go again this Sunday, looking forward to trying their other pizzas and the coffee! Ciao :)

It's a small restaurant with a pizza oven but they mount massive tents outside which is where the customers sit. I was concerned that it would be cold in the tent but they had heaters heating up the massive tents. Although the weather is warm and cold at the moment!! Anema E Core is really busy so I recommend you book beforehand.I have read wonderful things about how great their pizza is so I was eager to check it out. The table next to us orders a metre long pizza which looks spectacular. I order the "081" pizza which has a tomato base with mozzarella, ham, mild salami, ricotta, black pepper with basil and olive oil. The pizza came out so quickly and looked amazing. What an efficient kitchen Anema E Core has.The base is nice and doughy. The toppings are basic but come well together like real authentic pizza. I would strongly endorse their pizzas!! Yummo. I also order some dessert including the Nutella donut ( $7). It's quite a sizeable donut, comparable to a small cake. The donut is cut in half with nutella. It's topped with a bit of cream, strawberries, icing sugar and drizzled with more chocolate. Yummo. I love nutella so this donut went down like a treat. woot woot. $7 is also a nice price tag.

It is your one stop shop for all things Italian and my word it did not disappoint. We were seated here at about 1:15pm on a Saturday and although there were plenty of people seated, there was still plenty of room for us. It is quite a large restaurant with plenty of seating inside & out and is located in the "Waterfront" complex in Wentworth Point. Almost immediately, I was captivated by the European style decor & authentic atmosphere that came with it. The staff seemed to be all Italian and were full of cheer & passion. The restaurant was playing italian music quite softly in the background which again contributed to the cultured atmosphere. We were waited on immediately and had a couple of coffees ordered & served to the table within minutes. These were excellent but the fresh orange juice that followed with the food was a class above the rest. The menu is very comprehensive and almost all Italian with variety in meats, salads, entrees, mains, desserts & the rest. The pricing is a touch on the high side at around $20 an entree and $30+ a main but the dishes epitomise value for money. Although we were disappointed to hear that the 3 stuffed vegetables entree was not available, the bruschetta, grilled octopus with salad & garlic prawns in chilli tomato sauce dissolved that slight disappointment instantaneously. The food was absolutely incredible & full of flavour, and the wood-fried italian bread (Pana di Casa) was pure crispy & crunchy goodness. The presentation was sensational and the portion sizes were impressive, especially being that they were considered entrees. Our food was on our table within 15 minutes of ordering & it was in our stomachs in even less time than that. We stepped up to the counter to pay our share and came across the small display of fresh italian style desserts. Considering the sweet ricotta cannoli was staring right at me, I just couldn't resist and left with a roadie cannoli. Not only that, upon exit I had a stroll through the retail side of the store & was delighted to see a vast variety of biscotti, cured meats & imported Italian wines available for purchase. After adding a beautiful 2007 Tuscan red to my collection, we were on our way - by the way, the cannoli was outstanding! Overall, there's not a bad thing I could say about Cucina Visontini. In fact, if I didn't know where I was, I could have been mistaken into thinking I was overseas. Our experience wasn't just a great meal with excellent service & a bottle of wine to enjoy another time, it was truly cultural appreciation. It has become easy to generalise Italian restaurants but make no mistake, Cucina Viscontini is the real deal. For a taste of Italy, I respectfully demand that you try this place, you will be thankful you did so!

There were only six of us and the restaurant was filled with a wedding party, 50th birthday and small tables of 2, 4 and 6. It is glass all around and no verandah so it is very noisy. We were near a woman who has no volume control and that prevented our conversations until she was eating. It was a relief when she left as the reflection off the windows was a shocker. The group menu was a bit of a disappointment. There was no choice. The food was OK. Looking at the food photos from four years ago there was a similarity but just it missed the mark. The bread was not cut up and we did not have the knives to break into the crust. The penne was bland. The lamb needed a sauce, mint?, to cut into the fat. The dessert was more cream than cake. For the price paid, the food was disappointing. However, the amount of food was more than sufficient and they were prepared with doggy bags and containers for us to take away the leftovers. Maybe we should have gone for the a la carte? The service was excellent. Our waiter was very good. Parking was still no problem and on hot days if you are prepared to walk a little further you can park under some trees.
