Wow. Just wow! All the reviews are spot on about this place. Sat at the bar and had 4 plates of tapas with wine. Amazing food quality with highlight to the shrimp in garlic. Bartender was older gentleman from northern Spain and knew his stuff. Awesome. Just awesome. read more

My wife and I ate here tonight. We had a wonderful meal and great experience. The wait staff was excellent. We had shrimp and a couple other tapas for appetizers and salad with goat cheese walnuts and dates. It was a delicious combination. We loved the card entrée with sautéed vegetables and potatoes. The only thing we could not bring ourselves to share was dessert! We definitely recommend this place to others. read more

What an awesome Spanish place to randomly find. Was out to eat with a work colleauge and we wanted to go to that annoying French place down the street. No reservations, no lunch. Thank god, otherwise wouldn't have found this place. It's very rustical and unassuming from the outside. Once in though you'll understand why I am raving about it. I haven't had such nice service in a long time here in Hamburg. Right from the greeting through to leaving the place, service was spot on. They even kept bringing bread and said you look hungry, have some more! Never heard this in a restaurant here in town after the first bread basket. (And yes, we were hungry!) More importantly, the food was awesome. We both had a soup to start with and after each having eaten the first spoon, looked at each other and said wow, that's good! This is also a rare comment out of my mouth when it just comes to soup. Further, I had the fried calamari skewer with french fries. This was am amazing dish.I really mean it. I'm still thinking about how good my lunch was hours later and the even the fries were memorable. My lunch partner had the meat skewer also with fries and was more than satisfied with the quality. OK, this isn't a designer joint but who cares. I will most definitely be back more than once and am really looking forward to sampling more of their menu. Yet, the calamari was THAT good. Fünf Sterne für den Spanier, der keine Wünsche offen lässt. Das Essen, sowohl geschmacklich wie optisch, die Bedienung, die Preisgestaltung, alles in diesem Restaurant schrint darauf ausgelegt, seinen Gästen einen wirklich schönen Abend zu bereiten und sie mit einem Lächeln heim zu schicken. Ich hatte für drei Personen bestellt und wir bekamen einen Tisch im hinteren Bereich des Restaurants, was mir auch vorher am Telefon mitgeteilt worden war. Wir hatten drei Tapas bestellt als Vorspeise: Schinken-Käse-Kroketten, gebackener Schafskäse mit Pflaumensoße und Gambas in Knoblauchöl. Die Tapas kamen schnell, schmeckten aber sehr frisch. Die Gambas sind ein sehr knoblauchhaltiges Gedicht! Dazu wurde unentwegt unser Brotkorb, sowie der Knoblauchschmalz, aufgefüllt. Ich esse gern etwas Brot vorweg, aber dieses Brot war wirklich ausgezeichnet! Die Hauptgänge waren einmal eine Paella für zwei für meine Begleiter, sowie den Lachs vom Grill für mich. Mein Fisch war sehr gut gegrillt und schmeckte vortrefflich. Die Paella war schön schmackhaft mit punktgenau gekochtem Reis. Nur die Miesmuscheln waren aus dem Gefrierschrank, wir wurden aber darauf extra hingewiesen, dass dem so sei, weil keine Saison für diese Meeresfrüchte sei. Als Nachtisch haben wir die Schokoladenbombe mit Cassiseis und die katalanische Kreme probiert. Beide Speisen waren selbstgemacht, nicht zu süß und sehr geschmackvoll. WOW! what a good time we had here. everything was perfect! The night started with some tapas for us to share: Albondigas (meatballs) y Chipirones (small fried squid), which the waiter helped us choose. My friend have never had spanish food before, he is from the states, and he was very reluctant, however as soon as he tried the homemade Alioli (garlic mayonnaise) and the spanish olives, he was already in love with the place. After those we had Empanada Gallega (tuna fish pastry), Iberico Ham Croquetes and OMG these were orgasmic. For mains then we shared a seafood Picasso Paella and my friend got some Spaguetti with Praws. I've had paella before outside Spain (I was living there for 6 years) and my experiences in Europe have mostly been pretty poor, so my expectations were not very high, however i was pleasantly surprised to find that this paella is easily the best one i've ever had! All the ingredients tasted like the ones I used to have in Spain!. I would like to publicly thank the waiters and owner, Victor, who provided us with such a memorable evening. I'm sure that many of you guys are thinking about the price and that's was good too! because the price was on the average side, which I found marvelous due to the quality of the food, place and service!. I will happily go back there to have dinner once a week! (until I have tried every tapa in the menu!). Wow, que bien lo pasamos en este restaurant! todo fue perfecto!! La cena comenzó con algunas tapas para compartir: Albondigas y Chipirones (calamares pequeños fritos), que el camarero nos ayudó a elegir. Mi amigo no había probado nunca comida Española, él es americano, y estaba un poco nervioso e inseguro al respecto, pero apenas probó el alioli casero y las aceitunas se enamoró del lugar. Luego de esas tapas probamos la Empanada Gallega y las Croquetas de Jamón Iberico y tengo que decirlo, estaban para chuparse los dedos!. Luego llegaron los platos principales compartimos una paella de mariscos Picasso y unos espaguetis con gambas. Cada vez que he comido paella fuera de España siempre las he encontrado bastante repelentes, ya que nunca sabían a Paella, pero aquí he tenido una grata sorpresa ya que esta fue, fácilmente, una de las mejores paellas que he probado en mi vida!. Los ingredientes sabían igual a aquellos que comía en España. También me gustaría agradecer públicamente al camarero que nos atendió y a Victor (su dueño) por una atención magnífica! y por hacer de esa cena una velada memorable. Estoy seguro que muchos de ustedes se estarán preguntando por el precio y tengo buenas noticias, el precio fue normal! y eso es bueno porque si tomamos en cuenta la calidad de la comida, el sitio y la atención, hasta me ha parecido económico. Best Spanish food I've had in Europe. Even though I had good service at each place I ate in Barcelona, Valencia, and elsewhere in Spain, the food was never really impressive or well-priced. I guess that's my fault for just eating tapas most of the time rather than a full meal. In any case, we were directed to Picasso by a local when we simply asked for a good restaurant nearby. Boy was he right! We half-expected them to rush us because it was nearly closing time. But they never did. We ordered full meals and the food and service were both phenomenal -- much better than most of the tapas we had in Spain, and quite reasonably priced, too! read more
