The ice cream is made fresh in-house and the service is amazing. There are 30+ flavors to choose from, desserts, popsicles, and food dishes too. You're welcome to get food in-store or to go. We ordered mango ice cream, strawberries & cream, and cookie dough ice cream in waffle cones. All were delicious and well made. No worries if you don't speak Spanish, employees are happy to explain flavors or translate dishes for you - the atmosphere is welcoming and family friendly. PBS was playing on the TV when we visited for little ones. The large food pictures on the wall are great for making you want to order something new next time. If I had to nit-pick one negative experience from my visit, I truly couldn't find one. It was so wonderful. The attention to detail was probably my favorite part of my dining experience here. When we were seated, our waitress went out of her way to address all allergies and dietary restrictions, note them, and walk us through the menu to ensure we were well cared for. Yet still relayed all allergies to the kitchen so we were safe. I loved that! 10/10. Also, this restaurant handled my ADA accommodations for my professionally trained service animal like a pro. I called ahead to make a reservation for my party, and they were very kind. Seated us at the best table possible for my pup, and were so kind to her (and me) throughout. It is such a relief having restaurants that accommodate well - I'll definitely go back just because of this!

Supposedly, it serves four but this is what the platter looks like after three very hungry adults ate our fill. The platter also comes with four bowls of weirdly delicious soup made with beans and....I think, hotdogs. Sounds horrible and I normally would push the bowl out of sight but then I tried a bite. It was great. We split the meat platter leftovers and I will have food for every meal for the next 3-4 days. Then the staff found out it was my birthday and brought out a huge tray of sopaillas drizzled with chocolate syrup, chocolate sprinkles, sugar, and whipped cream. Oh my. I forgot to take a photo of the meat platter before we chowed down on it and didn't have time to take a photo of the dessert because.....well, because it was too amazing looking to wait for a photo!

Now, I was actually recommended that smoothie especially for the protein. That was my first time ever having a smoothie at the Georgetown Market & in general. The ambiance of the place clean, smells very healthy, the staff are always very friendly and helpful. To, my surprise the smoothie was actually good to me. Mind, you I can't eat bananas by itself due the smell makes me gag, and I haven't ate a banana in many years. I would highly recommend the Mocha Chiquita smoothie. Then, around 3:30 in the afternoon I went back up to Georgetown Market Cafe for the Vegan mac and cheese, to me that was just okay. Then, I ordered a ginger shot which was good, that ginger burned slightly. However, I love Georgetown Market & the Cafe so I'll definitely be back.

I was immediately wowed, but decided not to buy any at that time because I was moving to Indiana soon! I thought I'd be able to find some in Bloomington, but alas it's not easy... But as fortune had it, I ended up at a farmers' market up in Indy one day, at which they had a stand. And it lived up to expectations. The Queen Anne's Lace (which they had samples of on offer) was up to the standards of the best French bries, and much better than any of the big-name bries. Tiger Lily is a nice washed rind with the expected pungency. My complaint would be that I wish they used some non-cow milks too. I also found the rinds to be less edible than with some European cheese, but that's fine, just cut them off.
