The food was ready on time. The restaurant looks nice and has a nice vibe. They have a small stage for live music. The cachapa had 3 layers and in between had cheese (queso de mano) and picanha. It brought pieces of chicharrón and 2 sauces (a cheese sauce and nata). The portion was big am but I finished it all. 100% recommended!!!! I'll be back to try more!!

It turned out to be a great choice! The service was excellent; all the servers were very attentive and made sure we were taken care of. The food was outstanding. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend!

We visited the restaurant after seeing for week how long the wait was…read more I will start by saying the restaurant is very loud. Music is blasting and the crowd is very loud. Not a problem for me but could be for someone else. The waitress we had(couldn't tell you her name - she never told us her name) was very pleasant but not very attentive. When we sat down it took us a few minutes to get her to come to get our order. Wanted to place a drink order but she told us she had another table and had to return to us in a few minutes. That took about 10 minutes. Finally come back took our appetizers but not drinks order. Restaurant was out of a few of the apps that we wanted and she(waitress) only suggested the most expensive apps as other options-not a look for the restaurant. Still not took the drink order. Had to request the drinks from a different server. We then placed our dinner order. Food took a little too long to arrive at our table. Tables that sat after us received drinks, apps, and food wayyyy before we did(must have had another server). Food arrived-must say it was all delicious (so were the apps btw). The server did not come by to ask if food was good, did not ask if we needed anything and definitely no drink refills. We wanted to order dessert but was never offered so we opted to pay and leave. The paying process took just as long. Asked the server for the bill 3 times, never got it. Finally we asked another server for the bill and our server overheard and said that the bill would be coming from the manager.(never heard of that before). Finally got our bill from OUR server. That's the only time she actually provided service- waited for the bill to be paid standing by our side. The entire dinner out process took about 2 and a half hours. Not because we sat around- that's how long it took. I will say as a party of 7 we all have a different opinion on whether or not we will return. Maybe we will try it again as take out. I now the service industry is rough but we didn't ask for much just SIMPLE service.

I reallly really wanted to love it, but it's meh. It is very clean, small, colorful. But idc abt the decor. I care abt the food bc I am a taco lover. Tacos are more than meat on a tortilla. Tacos are history, culture, memories. And these tacos, are as authentic as Taco Bell. Not bad. Fast. And will scratch that itch. But they are not memorable. But how could they be? When the person cooking is not even Mexican. The Al pastor tacos are not on a trompo. The steak tastes like any restaurant steak you've had in any Latin restaurant, just diced up, put on a tortilla, and sprinkled w cilantro. If you put both tacos in front of me and blindfolded me, I could only tell them apart bc of the pineapple. I will give them props on the birria empanadas. By far the most memorable dish. It is not the crust of a Mexican empanada. More like Venezuelan empanadas. But the crust lends itself really nicely to be dipped into the consomé. The quesabirria cheese was your standard Mexican blend from any supermarket instead of Oaxaca, asadero, or chihuahua. Ur felt unnecessarily greasy. I don't think we will be back.

We got so excited and so stuffed after the meats that we didn't save space for dessert, but I guess this review is about Boni Grill, not Boni Bakery, so I guess I'll have to go back and write another one up ;-) Service was amazing, they seemed to have everything well figured out and the staff was delightful I know I'll be coming every so often to this little bubble of Venezuela in the middle of Doral, specially when they do live music (I hear they intend to do it every Thursday evening)

I ordered the "pork in my belly", and I have to say--the flavor was really good. The mofongo was topped with what tasted like a cilantro sauce, and there was some kind of crunchy element (maybe Cheetos or something similar?) that actually worked really well. The pork chunks were on point--tender, juicy, and well-seasoned. I also want to mention that the man who took my order and brought me my food was very kind, and I didn't have to wait long at all, which I really appreciated. That said, cleanliness is a big deal for me. I tend to notice those things, and unfortunately, this is where my experience changed. The outside of the food truck looked dirty, and I noticed spots on the ceiling that made me a bit uneasy. Inside, I saw a young woman on her phone, talking with one hand while scratching her head with the other, and then grabbing aluminum foil--presumably to handle food. That really didn't sit right with me. While the food itself was flavorful, and I'm thankful the gentleman preparing my order was wearing gloves, the overall cleanliness concerns make it hard for me to return. For me, hygiene is just as important as taste. This is the reason for my 3 stars.

I have to confess... I've probably been guilty of gatekeeping this gem for years…read more I've been coming to Basilico for a long time, and yet never got around to writing the review it deserves. This week I realized it was time to share it with my Yelp family. From the moment you walk in, you're treated like family. Even if I haven't been there in months, I'm welcomed back as if I was there last week. That kind of genuine hospitality is rare. Over the years I've worked my way through just about everything on the menu. Most of the time I don't even order anymore--I simply ask, "What am I eating today?" They know what I like, and I trust them completely. Whether it's a pasta special, a wine recommendation, or something I've never tried before, they've never steered me wrong. Speaking of wine, their list is excellent. I'm perfectly happy letting them choose a bottle or glass for me, and I've discovered several favorites that way. On this visit I finally ordered the Flank Steak (Vacio de los Andes a la Parrilla), and all I can say is... wow. It was cooked perfectly, incredibly tender, and full of flavor. Honestly, it rivaled steaks I've had at restaurants that specialize in nothing but steak. One tip: if you're coming for lunch, arrive a little early. This cozy spot fills up quickly, and once you've eaten here you'll understand why. Basilico isn't flashy. More like cozy and intimate, excellent for good conversation. It's simply one of those rare neighborhood restaurants that gets the important things right--great food, wonderful people, and consistency year after year. Some places become favorites because of one great meal. Basilico became one of mine because they've been delivering them for years.
