Ken Smith rebuilt my Steinway grand a few years ago when it was unplayable because of verdigris (a known Steinway problem!). The action now is lovely, and I once again can enjoy the instrument. He installed a humidity control system that keeps the instrument in tune longer, and does all of my ongoing tuning. He's the best. read more

History
Established in 1986.
I've been playing piano since 8 years of age. I wanted my piano to play and sound as best as it possibly could and was fortunate to apprentice with several professional technicians at a young age. I learned to tune aurally and the intricate steps of regulation. I rebuilt many pneumatic player pianos and later on opened a storefront to also sell new and used pianos. I was able to use that location to rebuild and restore older pianos also. The recession of 2008 made it difficult to continue in that fashion so I had to close the store and return to a smaller shop. I joined the Piano Technicians Guild and passed the exams to become a Registered Piano Technician. I have served as President and Vice-President in the chapter I joined. I still have the great passion for being a piano tuner and piano technician and improving my customers pianos to the best of my ability.
