Tim Jasnau has been tuning my family's two pianos and those of my son's teacher and school for many many years (probably about 11, to be precise). First, as a business person, he is reliable, communicative, and comes when he says he will, on time. Or he calls to say he'll be a little late. In other words, he's extremely reliable and professional. As far as the tuning, my son, who is quite particular and notices the instant a piano is not in tune, is always so pleased with Tim's work. I don't know anything about piano tuning, only that my pianos sound a heck of a lot better and any additional work he has recommended - like fixing one of the boards (I don't even know if that's the right word) - has led to a superior sound in my piano. He has also had to work with a difficult old Steinway and has improved it greatly. We often have little house concerts and our pianos always sound great. I don't know what was wrong with the last reviewer, but Tim is wonderful, talented, takes his work extremely seriously, and would never, ever, recommend doing other work unless it was required to make an instrument sing. read more
