I get so much junk email asking me to apply as a teacher to teach with Piano Power. But when I did just that, Piano Power made me drive to the suburbs, show up to a student's house to teach a sample lesson for free, and then they ghosted me. Piano Power is a big old red flag from my perspective as a longtime piano teacher. I would never expect anyone to do free labor for me and then ghost them. I'll beat your tuition you pay to Piano Power if you switch to taking lessons with me! Say no to corporate piano lessons. XOXO read more

We have been working with Piano Power since the beginning of the school year (Sept 2021) and I can confidently and honestly highly recommend them for music lessons. My son is 7 and wanted to play guitar over piano. I talked to Abraham (the founder of Piano Power who is absolutely fantastic, experienced, authentic and transparent) and he told me that it's typically easier to begin with piano for a variety of reasons - but, he understood and wanted to meet Luke's interest inane enthusiasm for guitar and made it happen. Luke's teacher Gabe is amazing and is beyond anything we expected. Gabe is patient, kind, flexible in terms of how to meet Luke's needs at each lesson, and most importantly, a fantastic teacher. He and Luke have such a trusting and caring relationship, and he really understands him. Luke is always excited for his lessons which has been one of the best parts of our experience with Gabe - I was worried he would burn out after a few lessons, but he is always excited for his Monday lesson! Lastly, I can't tell you how awesome and easy it is to work with the admin team - the scheduler, the finance team, and Abraham is always available to talk via phone or email. They all respond quickly and actually answer your questions in a helpful way, and to me you can't put a price tag on that. Highly recommend Piano Power - so happy we found them! read more

Piano Power is an extremely disappointing organization. After only a few weeks of lessons with one of their teachers (Rachel), Andrew D. sent me an email with the subject line: "Pausing [child's name] music lessons with Rachel, effective immediately." What? No heads up from Rachel; no phone call to get my input on the situation; just a cold email dropping my child. I responded with the following: "This is the most unprofessional email I've ever received in my life. You should be ashamed of yourself." The founder (Abraham) responds to my email with another email (!). Not a call or invitation to have a conversation about my child continuing piano (or not) or asking for our family's input on the matter. The disappointment and tears on my child's face when I told her that Rachel wouldn't be coming back was heartbreaking. A coach doesn't kick a kid off a soccer team if that kid isn't the star player. Rather, that coach has more patience and offers that child more support. Piano Power is setting a horrible example. read more

Piano Power is the top! They meet you where you're at depending on your skill level, temperament, and also location. The people of Piano Power are rigorous, intelligent, and sensitive, and do the little things that make this a very special place to receive your music education. And teachers come first, which is so very important. They treat musicians with respect and value their talents, which translates to the best experience a parent like me can ask for. They really invest in this special relationship! In addition to all this, they are conscientious about song choices, practice schedules, and recital preparations. My daughter took piano from Piano Power 7 years all told from the age of 8 through 17, with a bit of gap during her high school years. She had three teachers over the years and all were a great fit. Piano Power does a great job screening their teachers and matching them up with students. The community is supportive. The recitals are well done and serve as great motivation for students. They don't just offer piano. My daughter took piano and voice and when she decided to major in music in college, we called Piano Power to help her prepare for her music school auditions. My son took piano lessons from Piano Power for 7 years, and guitar lessons for about 3. The only reason he stopped was when he left for college last August! His teachers, Andrew D and Andrew C, were amazing! They were not only phenomenal teachers, but great people who really connected with my son. He always looked forward to his lessons every week. Piano Power really does a great job of matching their talented teachers with your student, creating a perfect fit. Piano Power is also very well run, and very easy to schedule with - even when things come up and changes need to be made. They also are very flexible, and navigated well through the pandemic, returning to in person lessons when we were all ready. I cannot recommend them highly enough! They are fantastic! read more

Piano Power has been an outstanding partner in teaching our children to learn and enjoy piano. It's a very well-run and family-friendly company, with wonderful teachers and staff. Piano Power is flexible and responsive with scheduling, as our kids' lives get busy or the pandemic makes things tricky. Before signing up for lessons please be aware- you CANNOT reschedule and have makeup lessons EVER - regardless of how much advanced noticed you give them. Scheduled vacation? Too bad you'll still get charged. Kid sick? Again too bad - you still get charged. Quarantine due to COVID? Yup, you get the idea - they will still charge you. Instead of a live lesson they email you a 'YouTube' like video on an app called 'Lessonmate' and charge you the full amount for your lesson!! I can get YouTube lessons for free - I don't have to pay $76 a session for that!!! While we absolutely love our piano teacher, we found Abe (owner of the company) to be inflexible and he frankly made it clear that he doesn't want or need your business. We decided to part ways- I was spending too much money on YouTube lessons that I could get for free. I've found another teacher with much more flexible policies. read more

Can't recommend Piano Power highly enough! Their instructors are young, dynamic and fun and make the learning process interactive and enjoyable for the kids. They use available technology, like IPad apps, to augment the learning experience that meets kids where they are. There is an emphasis on making the learning process fun. We have been clients of Piano Power for the last 6 years and could not be happier. My oldest started piano at 5yo and we had 2 younger children so it was easier to have the teacher come to the house than to go to another place. Since then, all 3 of our children have started piano and it's easier to have the lessons at home for that reason! In addition to the convenience of having the lessons at home, we love having the wide variety of teachers to choose from at Piano Power. Abraham, the owner, works very hard to match the right teacher to each family - based on selection of instruments, musical tastes and schedule. My son started with piano but recently added the guitar and our amazing teacher can teach him both! The children look forward to their lessons and are motivated to practice. Lastly, Abraham, the teachers, and the administrative staff are very easy to communicate with and work with us if the schedule needs to be adjusted. Piano Power is great! They work hard to pair you with the right teacher and do their best to accommodate schedule changes. Good peeps in admin and our teacher Andrew is amazingly patient and kind, encouraging our 7-year-old with games and songs that are fun for him to learn.
