I started the process months ago by emailing back and forth with Sam and phone calls with Matt - to better understand the Plek machines and determine if it would be a good fit for my boyfriend's 50th birthday gift. I was met with the epitome of professionalism, knowledge, kindness and guidance. They understood I was hoping to make it a stellar birthday for my fella and went above and beyond in making that a reality. From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted with warmth by everyone - handshakes and smiles. After a two hour drive from home, that's a great way to begin! The shop / store / vault / "playrooms" (as I'm calling them) are well thought out, and welcoming to the public. My fella definitely wanted to have the full experience so we planned for at least 3-4 hours onsite - we spent over 6.5 hours and there was still more to experience. The shop was incredibly clean. Everyone was informational on all fronts - happy for us to be engaged in the full experience - including explanation of the processes occurring inside the Plek machines. We brought 6 guitars and 5 were evaluated; three of those run through the full blown "plek'ing" process. My guy was able to pull guitars off the wall and play at his leisure. We were offered a tour and they often made sure we had a water, etc. I can never say enough good things about Corzic Music and the folks running that well-oiled ship. We will absolutely be back. Gary is the only one that works on saxophones, so his list can get pretty long, especially during the summer months when school is out. However, he always does his best to fit you in and work with your schedule. The work he does is fantastic! He's put some new pads on with the kangaroo skin he works with and recently did an overhaul of the right hand and I've noticed such a huge difference in my ease of playing the low notes. I kept thinking it was me the whole time until he fixed it up and now I'm playing great! No need for an appointment, you can just show up with your instrument. If you are on a deadline though, I would call to see how his list is looking and why your projected turnaround time is.

They gave my guitar more TLC in the few weeks at their shop, than I have in the three years I've been in possession of it. Passion doesn't even begin to describe the labor of love these guys have for their work. I recently visited their workshop, and I left with my head swimming. From a tune up in the workshop to creating a custom piece or nailing the accurate color paint job, these guys truly know how to cater to the needs and desires of their customer base. They truly love what they do, they genuinely care about each of those guitars that cross the threshold, and do their utmost to provide their clientele with an exceptional customer service experience. Although the staff at SG are all guys, I did not feel the least bit excluded or unwelcome. This isn't some Old Boys' Club where the womenfolk aren't welcome. I not only felt welcome, but I felt like family. Even as a novice, I left feeling like a rock star! Like finding the perfect hair stylist, finding a stellar luthier is equally difficult to find. His truck and box trailer were immaculate, organized, perfectly designed to move pianos with moving blankets, straps, etc. Steve carefully moved and guided the piano through the house, down the stairs, out and to his trailer perfectly. No bumps, no close calls. He drove carefully to the house where the piano was to be delivered and easily moved it up the stairs and down a narrow hallway with about 1/2 inch passage space on either side of the piano and placed it carefully where it belonged. I can easily recommend him without any reservation. He has over 30+ years of experience, and it shows. He also tunes pianos. His price for the move was very reasonable. It is obvious he enjoys his profession and strives for excellence.

He is the guy to visit if you're looking for a fine instrument, seriously, I mean this, he is the guy you want if you're looking for pristine condition instruments at honest prices with transparent and thorough descriptions. A skilled luthier, he sets up most of is instruments himself, and all around ensures they are in prime condition (both in look and sound). He is honest, straightforward and incredibly helpful. If you get to visit his studio, he gives you time alone to discover the instruments and all around ensures that the buying experience is a pleasure from the time you walk in to the time you walk out with your new axe in hand. Thank you Rich, I look forward to enjoying my new guitar for many years. UPDATE: August 2020: After months of playing my guitar the I acquired from Savage back in March, one of the tuning machine gears stripped out (from normal wear, as these are original hardware from nearly 50 years ago). I would never take my gear to the big box stores to get serviced, I need someone who is experienced and can make my amps perform. I've taken multiple vintage amps to Bird Dog Bobby over the years, over the last 2 years I've needed to have my 1960's Traynor Voicemaster head serviced and I also took a 1940's Filmosound Projector amplifier converted to a guitar amplified. The result in both cases were outstanding. Bird Dog knows his vintage electronics and will make your amps renewed! Typically speaking his turn-around time is as expected, generally I'll have my amps back within a two-week period (of course this varies) The shop is a small one-room ship located in Chuluota next to a convenient store. No fancy-storefront here, just a guy making amps rock. Really appreciate Bird Dog - I don't know what I would do without him around!
