We were treated inappropriately and then our child was removed from the program, while our other child was on the waiting list for 8 months and was told they would have a spot after he/she was born. At the last minute, we were told that our second child did not have a spot because of a long waiting list and because I was taking 12 weeks maternity leave and that was the reason. This situation left me with a newborn, a two year-old and no daycare at the last minute. When we asked the owner what we are supposed to do for child care her response was "you have child care, you are on maternity leave for 3 months." I want only the best for my kids and this was not the place for my family. The turnover with staff is beyond anything I have ever seen...and should be considered a red flag. One of MCA's best employee/teacher was treated so bad/unfairly and disagreed with how we were treated that she left. My advice is do your research and if you have any reservations...look elsewhere!

Each visit left us with the impression that he was in a caring environment where he could learn, play, and grow. Our grandson is an active little boy who is curious about so many things. Like many young children, he sometimes needs redirection as he learns appropriate behaviors. Unfortunately, it appeared that Archer struggled to meet his needs in this area. Earlier this spring, during one of our visits, the director introduced us to the teacher of the classroom he would soon be moving into and spoke very positively about how smart and ready he was for the change. Less than three weeks later, he was unexpectedly expelled on a Monday morning without prior warning to his parents. His parents had met with the director on multiple occasions before that decision, yet at no point were they told that expulsion was even being considered. As a result, the decision came as a complete surprise to them. We understand that not every childcare setting is the right fit and that sometimes a program may determine it cannot meet a child's needs. However, when a situation reaches the point where expulsion is a possibility, parents deserve honest, timely communication. Providing clear notice and discussing concerns before such a significant decision is made allows families the opportunity to seek additional support, explore other childcare options, and prepare rather than facing a sudden transition. Above all, a child's well-being should always come first. Not long after leaving Archer, we drove past the turn off for Archer, and my grandson pointed to it and said, "That's my school, and that's where my friends are." It was a simple reminder that these decisions affect more than schedules--they affect a young child's sense of security, belonging, and the relationships that are so important. The two star rating represents a clean and organized facility.
