Several staff who have been there for years left due to the owners (who are a couple even though they deny it). They expect toddlers to act like middle schoolers, suspend my son WITHOUT calling me because he was "disruptive" and "aggressive" (only after being at the new campus for 20 days). My son's behaviors were that of a normal 5 year old. This place is horrible. Before enrolling, watch the documentary of Shiny Happy People and you got it, just minus the religion stuff.

Most of the staff at Nanny's have worked there for over 5 years and some have made it their career. What is really special is the facility as well as the staff. With their very own cafeteria it teaches children to line up and prepares them for how they will have to behave when it is time for them to go to school. They have plenty of extracurricular activities to keep the children busy and even offer swim lessons across the road at the Ft. Sanders gym complex. This was great for us since we didn't really know where to send our boys for swim lessons. The teachers go with the children so we know they are safe and they get to learn valuable things like swimming, soccer, gymnastics, music, and ballet. They were also rated #1 for daycare facilities in Knoxville. How great is that. So if you are thinking of where to go for daycare and you have not made up your mind or you are just starting the journey, go take a tour of the facility. You will not be disappointed.

We were treated inappropriately and then our child was removed from the program, while our other child was on the waiting list for 8 months and was told they would have a spot after he/she was born. At the last minute, we were told that our second child did not have a spot because of a long waiting list and because I was taking 12 weeks maternity leave and that was the reason. This situation left me with a newborn, a two year-old and no daycare at the last minute. When we asked the owner what we are supposed to do for child care her response was "you have child care, you are on maternity leave for 3 months." I want only the best for my kids and this was not the place for my family. The turnover with staff is beyond anything I have ever seen...and should be considered a red flag. One of MCA's best employee/teacher was treated so bad/unfairly and disagreed with how we were treated that she left. My advice is do your research and if you have any reservations...look elsewhere!

The move from Maryville College: Perpetual Motion was established by Gary in 1976. The Business originated in a downtown building owned by Dr. Bob Profit and located near the Maryville Daily Times. Bob was a major help in those first few establishment years. We will always be grateful for his initial encouragement and assistance.
