The receptionist and a different therapist also complained about a customer no-showing in front of me and another client, saying, "it figures", "no surprise there", etc. The receptionist continued to be loud during the treatment. The walls are thin and the floors creak because it's an old building -- fair enough. But there didn't seem to be any effort to work around this, easy options could be: ask your receptionist to be quieter in general, use white noise machines, choose different music that drowns out the noise of the clinic and busy road, put some carpets down. Overall the environment was lacking: The massage table squeaked and seemed old. It was too short for me at 5'6" to have my head on the bed when I laid on my back. When it was time to turn onto my back, the therapist asked me to put the back of my head in the face cradle. I had to tell them my neck was *really* unsupported, to the point it hurt. The clocks in the treatment rooms were large, bright white LED -- mimicking a neon light style. They shine in your eyes during the treatment. Overall not a comfy or relaxing environment. Don't recommend.

I found that they have an online booking system on their website. This is excellent and very convenient! I could choose a time and date that would fit in my schedule, so I did not have to call and ask a receptionist to check on any time slots. I could see all the availabilities online. I was trying to choose a time slot that was after work such as 5:45pm or after 6pm on weeknights. The online system or website shows that they have 10 RMTs. I chose a RMT called Cynthia Gillanders and reserved a time slot online. I did not know her before, but I would just give her a try. When I walked into Inlet Wellness Gallery, the environment was very relaxing, quiet, and comfortable. A receptionist greeted me and asked me to fill out a form, so Inlet Wellness Gallery could know my medical issues and history. Their waiting area or lounge got a beautiful and comfortable couch and chairs with a coffee table. They placed some tea on the coffee table for the customers who were waiting for appointments. This was a very good idea making the customers feel comfortable and relaxed right at the beginning of the process. Cynthia is a very experienced RMT. She double checked with me on my medical issues and history and asked questions to make sure she understood what I needed from her before she started a massage therapy. She was very friendly and kind. She would also chat with me and made sure I felt great (not bored) when she was giving me a massage. Some soft music was on when I did the massage as well. It was very comfortable. After the massage therapy, I paid up front. The receptionist could make the next appointment immediately. An email notification would send out to me right away. They were very efficient! Overall, I had a great experience at Inlet Wellness Gallery. I would definitely come back to do a massage therapy with Cynthia in the near future.

I arrived on time and was led in... oh, but the exam room is so small my walker does not fit. Even the physio had a hard time getting around the exam table to measure my leg range of motion and she was pretty petite. so... I was there 45 minutes of an hour appointment. We walked up and down the hall and she had some thoughts on some exercises to start with. But.. for the most part I listened to her complain about our medical system. I heard that I should have stayed overnight... not sure why because it is pretty common to be home the same day unless you have an issue. I heard all about the wonderful things she has done. I left there with not much new info and while I made a future appointment when I left I cancelled as soon as I got home. So $125 for only 45 minutes of an hour appointment. I do have coverage so did not pay full rate. Cons - the space is too small and cramped the physio was not helpful at all, I could not wait to get out I only got 45 minutes and most of that was listening to complaints. Pros - I was in there fast. I am now happy at White Rock Orthopaedic & Sports Physiotherapy Clinic where I pay a reduced seniors rate and am never there for less than 90 minutes.

On my second visit, which was three months after the initial injury, he told me to start climb "harder routes" with wrist widget on because my wrist pain was mostly gone at that time. I did what I was told, and that resulted in a second injury even worse than the first time. The recovery has been awfully slow since then; it's been almost five months now, and I can't even pull more than 10 lbs without any trouble. I did see him one more time after that because I really didn't want to do another initial assessment with a new PT. He gave me 25 mins of forearm massage, and right before the session ended, he told me to made a wrist roller and hanged 5 lbs for training. Turn out that was too much for my wrist to handle and caused instant sharp pain. I informed him via email, and then he asked me to reduce the weight to 2 lbs. I really wish this sort of trial and error could be done during my visit, not at home.

Previously I went to another place (hahah just upstairs on another floor of the same building) the lady at this other clinic was a fruitcake (I went in for tenon pain and she tried to administer acupuncture while simultaneously selling me every service she offered under the sun (digestion, skin, sleep, diet dairy meat free etc, and even herbal) all while I'm lying there declining over and over everything she suggested I try, even managed to sign me up to few hundred dollars of additional visits to her husband's practice before I managed to get home and call in and feel less pressured and managed to cancel everything) Definitely give YOON a try.
