It's not a matter of "will power" as your body and brain develop a set point and won't let go. I had tried several more traditional options before seeking out Dr Simonds. He knew from my history that I'd probably have to move to drugs. First phentermine/phendramazine then compounded semaglutide. Your body can grow accustomed to the pills but I've lost 30 lbs so far on the senaglutide and kept it off for a year. I'd still like to lose 10 more pounds and then I'll most likely go on maintenance. I've seen a number of their practitioners and they're all good, but NP Michelle Stone is the best. She's a font of health-related knowledge, listens well, and is easy to communicate with. And she's willing to discuss your care with your other practitioners. Based on a previous review, if you don't want to consider the possibility of drug treatment, then Dr.Simonds may not be for you. However, the care I get now is superlative because of Dr. Ping's diagnostic excellence. I have never had any western medicine physician nearly as fine as Dr. Ping. I get care from both Dr. Ping and my western med physician. Each of them can do some things the other can't. Dr. Ping doesn't perform surgery or send referrals for ultrasounds, x-rays, or CT scans. My western doc doesn't provide plant based medications, or acupuncture. I value them both yet I depend on Dr. Ping in my unhealthiest moments. In the afternoon, there is a presentation called digging deeper which talks about normal and everyday people problems. However, if you don't go and listen to the presentation, you are basically considered an outcast for NOT drinking the cool aid. (Presentations are generally boring and one sided. If you don't agree with the presenter, You are also considered an outcast. The most important thing about attending the structure house is you!
