They are also responsive to feedback on your progression and will adapt to your needs. I didn't have any billing issues as noted by one previous reviewer.

I had already witnessed the expert and loving care provided to my elderly mother at their Holt location, and knew that I would be given the same kind of care at their new Okemos location. I've visited many physical therapists over my 60 accident prone years, and all were competent. But none have left such a deep and lasting impression as the folks at ORS. The compassionate care and concern extended by each and every employee, to each and every patient no matter the size or scope of injury is truly genuine. It's been said that laughter is the best medicine. The ORS staff's ability to take that to heart and make me laugh instead of cry while restoring critical flexion and function to my dominant arm was truly remarkable. I can still hear karaoke Kevin hitting the high notes in my sleep. Kevin, Aaron, Erin, Joann, Tori, and Chrissy....you're absolutely amazing. If only you gave golf lessons....sigh.

I showed up to John's practice with both runner's knee and a rotator cuff injury- and only about 5 weeks of time for PT sessions before heading out of town for an extended trip- and John was clearly committed to progressing me through recovery as quickly as my body was able to adapt so that I would be on a solid foundation for continue recovery after I was no longer able to work with him directly. Importantly, John Mittlebrun is a listener. The questions he worked through during my initial knee and rotator cuff assessments and then follow-on PT visits demonstrated that he was clearly paying attention to me, my body's incremental limits, and my body's progression through recovery. He helped me understand the balance between pushing up to the point of pain vs pushing through pain, the importance of consistency over perfection, and to trust the process even when patience is difficult. After five weeks of working with John, I'm now cautiously getting back to running and swimming; both of which are huge physical and mental achievements. His care and attention have truly set me up for sustained physical endurance to continue the sports and hobbies I care about for my physical and mental health, in addition to living each day feeling mobile, strong, and healthy.
